• Universal Face Selection Menu expanded to automate the selection of sets of faces which form regional features

o Smooth – selects the face under cursor and all adjacent faces with tangent transitions

o Bump – masks for sets of adjacent faces forming a protrusion or cavity which are cleanly bounded by

a single capping face

o Blend All– masks for sets of adjacent faces that are part of a single blend or part of a dependant blend

o Blend Constant - masks for sets of adjacent faces that are part of a constant radius blend o Blend Branch – masks for minimum sets of adjacent blend faces that can be removed together o Side – masking on solids of uniform thickness, this option selects the face under cursor, and all

adjacent faces with tangent transitions like the Smooth option, or all faces on the side wall of the solid

o Rib – masks on sets of adjacent faces that form non-cylindrical/conical walls and top of a protrusion cleanly bounded by one or more faces

o Pocket – masks on sets of adjacent faces that form the walls and bottom of a cavity cleanly bounded

o Boss - masks on sets of adjacent faces that form the walls and top of a protrusion cleanly bounded by one or more faces

o Pattern – Masks on sets of identical faces

• New Features tab added to Part Splitter pane which lists sets of faces discovered to be regional features, sorted by folders

• During entity selection, ToolTips show entity type of highlighted entity • During Verify Entity selection, ToolTip shows length or radius of highlighted entities

• During position snapping the Center position is prioritized if cursor is inside of circle/arc • Level Properties dialog expanded to include name, number, and display/selectable switches

• Offset option added to Move Levels function allowing sets of levels to be placed under another level or

renumbered (i.e., levels 2 and 5 become 100.2 and 100.5 or 102 and 105) • New Copy Levels function works like Move Levels but leaves all original data in place • New Collapse Completely function for Levels list • Control Bar Windows include their name in their title bar

Detailing/Drawing

• New Instance Auto-fit setting allows Layout Instances to always automatically re-size to fit all geometry shown in the instance when the model is changed or moved

• New Instance Margin setting allows specification of a percentage which controls the amount of space between the outside edge of instance-specific geometry and the instance border

• New option for labels allows positioning of the extension line under the text (compare Digital Cameras note below to Light Bar note below)

• Detail Callout option to define the scale value used in the label from model, not instance • Detail Callout option to leave the scale note out of Detail Callout labels • Full control of arrowhead types in Weld Symbols

Modeling

• New modify blend feature capability allows constant radius continuous blends to be resized by typing a

new radius value • New Suppress/Un-suppress feature functionality allows features in the Features tab list to be maintained

and restored from a temporarily deleted condition

• Features tab supports editing of parameter values of discovered holes, blends and sheet metal bends

• New Replace Face function allows faces on a solid to be removed and adjacent faces extended to meet a new

selected face or surface

• Unstitch extended to support simple face deletion or creation of a sheet body or bodies without editing the

original • New Prune function creates solids from capable selected sets of faces of a solid or sheet body

• New Boolean Graft function aids in dynamic orienting and positioning, and uniting or subtracting tool solids

• Revolve a planar face functionality extended to revolve to a selected position • Extrude a planar face functionality extended to extrude to a selected position

• New Clean Spline function automatically splits and fixes common problems on selected sets of NURB-Spline

curves • Sheetmetal Bending functions expanded to support the selection of curves to define a non-linear bend line

Known Issues

• If the region of the model near a suppressed feature is modified the suppressed feature may not be unsuppressable. Using Undo to eliminate the Suppress will recover the feature.

• Some graphics card and driver combinations are incompatible with the default Hardware OpenGL setting in Tools Options Display Graphics Type which may cause a crash on exit or closing files. ATI Mobility Radeon 9700/9800 cards commonly cause these issues. For information about graphic card compatibility visit: http://developer.hoops3d.com/graphicscards/graphicscards.html

• AutoCAD DXF/DWG Export options to Export Spines as Polylines is not working, splines must be converted using the Segment Spline function before export

• CADL Export of Conic and Spline entities has been disabled in this release • Bursting or exporting layout instances can cause missing or incorrectly trimmed entities • Scaling of conic curve entities may produce incorrect results • Attempting to open Unigraphics or Pro/Engineer PRT files using the CADKEY PRT file filter causes those

files to be unreadable during that session • CATIA V4 models referenced in CATIA V5 assembly files are ignored using the CATIA V5 Import or

Open functions
