Objective: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

1. Name 5 animals at the zoo.

2. Guess the animal’s sounds.

Activities:

3. Teacher asks pupils to name some animals that they know or can see in the zoo. (Set induction)

4. Teacher shows some pictures of animals and pupils name the animals. (Pre-listening)

5. Teacher plays 6-8 animals sounds and pupils guess the sounds. (While-listening)

6. Teacher gives worksheets to pupils. Match pictures to words. (Post-listening)

Camels

Camels live in the desert. They can live withoutfood and water for many days. They eat grass, grains and branches. They can also eat thorny twigs.

Camels have humps on their back. There are Camels with one hump. They have soft and wide feet. They can walk for a long time in the desert. They are useful animals. They can carry people and heavy loads. The camel is also known as the “Ship of the Desert”.
