Wednesday, March 18: Change to 12:15 Release
On Wednesday, March 18, 2015 all KSI Panama teachers will be participating in the Panama Association of International Schools (PAIS)
conference as part of the professional development that KSI provides for its faculty. Due to this
opportunity, on March 18 students will be released at 12:15 p.m. Regular bus service will be provided
at 12:15 p.m. and parents should plan to pick up their children at 12:15 p.m. as well. The school will close promptly at 12:45 p.m. so teachers can attend
their professional development session in the afternoon. Please mark this date on your calendars.
Uniform Update
Due to a delay from the manufacturer, our new uniform will not be ready for sale until March. We apologize for the further delay
and we will inform you the moment we have the uniform ready for purchase.
Thank you for your understanding.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Meetings
Dear Parents,
On behalf of KSI Panama, I would like to thank students, teachers and parents for their time, energy and dedication to ensuring that our Diploma Programme (DP) Verification Visit was a success! Many parents attended the DP meeting and the Parent Advisory Board had every member present. As a result, our parent community left a strong and positive impression on our visitors! The students and teachers were also praised for their hard work in preparing and of course, Ms. Robyn Ahlsten, our DP Coordinator did an outstanding job getting all of us ready! Thanks to the entire community for your participation and commitment to ensuring KSI Panama's success. It can take from one to three months before we will receive official word from the International Baccalaureate Organisation regarding our official status. We will inform the community as soon as we have received official word.

Everyday Math Presentation
On Tuesday, March 3, Miss Ivanka Crespo and her students will be doing a
presentation and workshop on Everyday Math for primary parents.
The purpose of this meeting is to show parents how Everyday Math is
implemented in the classroom. You will have a chance to learn, as the children
do, in different ways and play math games with Miss Ivanka's students.
Volunteers Needed!
We are looking for volunteers to read and record text for students who have difficulty
reading. Recorded text is helpful for students who have reading difficulties to following along with the text and to better comprehend. If you are willing to donate some time, we would love
to have you help us with this project. The recording can be done at home!
Please email Wendy McArthur if you are interested. [email protected]
Thank you for your help!
