GeneralThe ETA low-pressure centrifugal pump built by KSB consid-ers fully the recommendations of DIN 24255 with regard tomain dimensions and rated capacities.
By the adaption to the standardised water pump and utilisingthe meccano system, the ETA series provides economicadvantages for plant designers, plant manufacturers andusers.
Fields of ApplicationGeneral water supply for municipalities, industry and agricul-ture; for irrigation and drainage or pumping of sea water,brines, Iyes and condensate; circulation of hot water, coolingwater and oil; for blending and loading duties, etc.
DesignHorizontal single-stage, single-flow centrifugal pump withvolute casing flanged onto the bearing pedestal.
Axial suction nozzle and radial discharge nozzle verticallyupwards, overhung radial flow impeller, shaft protectingsleeves of 316 stainless steel.
Shaft SealUncooled soft-packed stuffing box up to 110°C, or cooled soft-packed stuffing box over 110°C, up to 160°C. Uncooledmechanical seals up to 140°C max. may be fitted.
DriveDirect drive by an electric motor, an internal combustionengine or turbine, via a flexible coupling.
In special cases drive is also possible via a gear box, ahydraulic gear coupling, or belt drive (overhung or via a jack-shaft). If a spacer type coupling is used, the complete pumprotor can be withdrawn towards the motor end, without havingto remove the motor or to disconnect the piping from thepump casing.
BearingsAxial and radial location by two oil lubricated deep groove ballbearings in the bearing pedestal. Grease lubricated bearingsare available as an optional extra.
