Kristi GoodGrowing up, my parents reiterated the fact that I needed to have a strong passion towards my career. I always told myself I would not get home from work and think, “I hate my job”. In high school, I was introduced to the graphic design field. Additionally, web design was included to make us well-rounded designers. Little did I know, by the end of the year I fell in love with the aspect most strayed away from - web design. Through the years, before I decided on attending college, I studied the coding side of web and even scored a few freelance jobs. This led to my decision of attending the Art Institute for Web Design and Interactive media (BA). I not only wanted to be a developer and designer but I wanted to be the best in my field.

Being a well-rounded individual is key to creating opportunities for myself in the future. My inspirations are the ones in my life that taught me everything I need to know to move on and become successful, not only as a web developer and designer but as an individual. I hope to one day turn Good Design Creative into an extremely successful development and design company.

Promotional PiecesThe promo pieces shown consist of different types of website templates that businesses could choose from.

These template themes include:

Landscaping,

Hair Salons,

Dentists,

Jewelry,

Boutiques,

and Flooring.

Each template has two pages within it’s site to show what child pages would look like. The client also hasoptions such as, changing the color scheme, adding their logo, changing the font families, etc. In the end, each client has creative control and determines how the site will look. These templates are live sites, not just images.

School ProjectsAt the Art Institute, we are required to create many different forms of websites. I have created everything from a static website to a database system to working with content management systems. We work with numerous coding languages. Another aspect we are taught is graphic design. This allows us to be well rounded and helps us understand the viewpoints of the user.
