NOTIFICATION

Admission to Postgraduate Medical (Degree/Diploma) & Postgraduate Dental

(MDS) Courses 2017 - 2018 (Institutional Quota - Management/NRI Seats) Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad (KIMS) was declared as “Deemed-to-be-University” under section (3) of UGC Act 1956 vide Notification No. F9-15/2001-U.3 by Human Resource Development Ministry, Govt. of India on the advice of UGC. Candidates who desire to take admission in Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University) for Postgraduate Medical (Degree/Diploma) and Postgraduate Dental (MDS) under Institutional Quota – Management/NRI Category should apply to the Competent Authority, KIMSDU in the prescribed form. The merit list of the candidates who have applied to the KIMSDU will be prepared based on All India rank obtained in NEET-PG 2017. The said merit list will be referred as “KIMSDU PG Merit List 2017” herein after. The selection will be done on the basis of inter-se-merit of candidates who shall reported for counseling.

1. Online Application Form available on our website www.kimsuniversity.in should be submitted from – 11/03/2017 to 20/03/2017.

2. Application form are also available at the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed University office, Karad (9.00 am to 5.00 pm on working days.) from – 11/03/2017 to 20/03/2017.

ADMISSON PROCESS (INSTITUTIONAL QUOTA)

Candidates desirous of seeking admission to the MD/MS/Diploma & MDS courses under Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed University (KIMSDU) should apply online or offline to KIMSDU. The University shall formulate a merit list on the basis of All India Rank obtained in NEET 2017 which shall be displayed on the University Website www.kimsuniversity.in. The said merit list will be referred to as KIMSDU PG Merit List – 2017 herein after. The selection will done on the basis of inter se merit of the candidates who shall report for counseling. The Competent Authority shall invite Application Forms which are available online on our website: www.kimsuniversity.in and offline available at KIMSDU office for the NEET PG – 2017 or NEET MDS-2017 qualified candidates. The forms should be submitted within the stipulated time (from 11/03/2017 to 20/03/2017) as per the instruction given therein. The Forms shall be filled separately for Management and NRI category. Distribution of Seats - 50 % (Through joint counseling DMER Mumbai) Institutional Quota – 50 %

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

MEDICAL : Degree MD/MS and Diploma Courses Students having qualification recognized as equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) only are eligible for admission. 1. Eligibility for admission will be as per MCI regulation. 2. The candidate who have passed from MCI recognized Medical College and who

possess Indian Nationality with a proof are eligible.

The candidates should have obtained registration either from Medical Council of India or authorized State Medical Council after completing one year compulsory rotating Internship.

3. The candidates, who are still undergoing one year compulsory rotating

internship and are likely to complete it by 30th April 2017. 4. His/Her selection will be subject to completion of compulsory rotating internship

of one year and registration before 1st May 2017. He/She will have to submit documentary evidence from the Principal/Dean of the college regarding the anticipated date of completion of internships along with the application, failing which, his/her application shall be rejected.

5. Qualification in NEET – PG 2017


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

DENTAL : Degree MDS Courses

A candidate will be eligible for admission in Postgraduate Dental (MDS) courses for the academic year 2017 -18 on fulfillment of the following conditions:

111... Eligibility for admission will be as per DCI regulation.

222... The candidate who have passed from DCI recognized Dental College and who possess Indian Nationality with a proof are eligible. The candidates should have obtained registration either from Dental Council of India or authorized State Dental Council after completing one year compulsory rotating Internship.

333... The candidates, who are still undergoing one year compulsory rotating internship and are likely to complete it by 30th April 2017.

444... His/Her selection will be subject to completion of compulsory rotating internship of one year and registration before 1st May 2017. He/She will have to submit documentary evidence from the Principal/Dean of the college regarding the anticipated date of completion of internships along with the application, failing which, his/her application shall be rejected.

555... Qualification in NEET – PG 2017


INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP OF ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

Online Application Form available on our website www.kimsuniversity.in can be submitted within the stipulated time as per the following instructions: Relevant and complete information and data entry is to be made in the online application format by the candidate to obtain the hard copy of the application form. Demand Draft of the processing fees in favor of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, payable at Karad along with the hard copy of the online application form and the documents enlisted should be submitted within the stipulated time to : (Please write down the name of the candidate and application number on the backside of the DD)

Online submitted forms will be accepted only after receiving Demand Draft of the processing fees. Note :

1. Application forms without any of the above mandatory documents will be rejected. 2. Application has to be submitted online and HARD COPY of the online application and

the documents enlisted is to be send to KIMSDU office along with the DD of Processing Fees. (Processing Fee is Non Refundable)

3. Please review all the details before submitting the Application Form. 4. All the Details given in the application form will be used for further process. 5. Once the Application Form is submitted, no change can be made.

Note : All uploaded documents should meet the criteria as mentioned below : For uploading photo the following procedure shall be adopted :

1. Recent colored Photograph with light background (Same as NEET Admit Card) 2. The same photo should be used for all the subsequent processes such as Counseling and

admission. 3. The photograph should have a full face view looking into the camera directly. The main

features of the face must not be covered by hair of the head, any cloth or any shadow. Forehead, Eyes, Nose and Chin should be clearly visible.

4. The photograph should be in JPGE/JPG image format. 5. The Scan image should be less than 80 kb and should be of 30mm x 45 mm dimension.

For uploading signature the following procedure shall be adhered to:

1. Signature should be made with black pen on white paper by the candidate for uploading.

2. Dimensions should be 35 x 80 mm and Maximum file size should be 80 kb. 3. The image should be JPG/JPGE format.

13. NEET PG – 2017 Score Card


ADMISSION GUIDELINES

1. The admission sessions will be conducted at the office of KIMSDU, Karad as per the schedule.

2. Only the candidates shall be allowed into the admission hall. The candidates shall be called in the order of their ranking in the Post Graduate KIMSDU 2017 Merit List.

3. IMPERSONATION :

In case of impersonation the candidate will be handed over to police and further action will be dealt as per the Indian Penal Code in this matter and if required the cases will be handed over to Appropriate Law enforcing agencies for further investigation.

4. At the time of reporting for the admission, the candidate shall produce the documents (original and two sets of photocopies). If the candidate is admitted to either MD/MS/Diploma & MDS course, these documents shall be retained by the Deemed University till he/she completes the course. If the candidate fails to produce all or any of the documents his/her claim for a seat shall stand instantaneously forfeited.

5. The selected candidate shall be required to pay the entire amount of Tuition fee and such other fees as decided by the University on the day of admission itself through bank draft drawn on a bank favoring “Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, payable at KARAD.

6. Failure to attend the counseling or to pay the fees at the time of admission or failure to submit all the necessary documents in original may result in automatic forfeiture of the claim of the candidates for the selection.

7. If any candidate is not able to attend the counseling due to unavoidable circumstances, he/she may authorize any other responsible individual to represent him/her for the admission session. This representative must carry with him/her the letter of authorization in the given format as well as the original documents, two sets of photocopies and DD of tuition fees. If the candidate or his/her representative fails to report for the admission session on the date and time mentioned in the schedule of admission, his/her claim for admission to the MD/MS/Diploma & MDS courses shall stand forfeited.

8. In case of dispute in the matter of allotment of course or any other matter pertaining to the provisional selection or cancellation of admission, the decision of the Competent Authority shall be final and binding.

9. When all the seats in a given course are filled, admission of students to that course will instantaneously cease and Competent Authority, KIMSDU will not be responsible for non availability of the seats and non allotment to the rest of the candidates.

10. Candidates selected for admission shall abide by the Rules of the University.

11. Admissions made at the admission sessions are provisional. These will be confirmed after verification of eligibility by the University.


ADMISSION SESSIONS

12. UNDERTAKING AND BOND :

Medical :

A candidate admitted for the post graduate course in the faculty of Medicine shall be required to submit an undertaking and refundable security Deposit of Rs. 5 Lacs for serving the institution for a period of one year after passing University Examination, if required by the institution. The security Deposit shall be forfeited in case of failure to comply with the undertaking.

Provided the amount of security deposit for students admitted in Pre-clinical and Para-clinical subjects shall be Rs. 1 Lacs only. However if they fail to comply with the bond, they are liable to pay an amount of Rs. 5 Lacs in lieu of the service bond.

Dental :

A candidate admitted for the post graduate course in the faculty of Medicine shall be required to submit an undertaking and refundable security Deposit of Rs. 5 Lacs for serving the institution for a period of one year after passing University Examination, if required by the institution. The security Deposit shall be forfeited in case of failure to comply with the undertaking.

Provided the amount of security deposit for students admitted in the subjects of Oral Pathology and Microbiology shall be Rs. 1 Lacs only. However if they fail to comply with the bond, they are liable to pay an amount of Rs. 5 Lacs in lieu of the service bond.

13. VACANT SEATS :

Seats remaining vacant after all rounds for all category shall be filled in by the institution through institution level round from the desirous candidates from KIMSDU PG Merit List 2017. The said selection will be on the basis of inter-se-merit of NEET PG-2017 or NEET MDS-2017 scores.

14. CANCELLATION AND REFUND :

Refund of fee in case of cancellation shall be in accordance with the provisions of clause 6.2(2) and (3) of the UGC (Institutional Deemed to be Universities) Regulations 2016.
