Acknowledgement of CountryAs we gather here today, we acknowledge the Gadigal people as the traditional custodians of the land on

which our school is situated. We also pay our respects to the Eora Elders of the past, present and

future, for they hold the memories, traditions, culture and hopes of Aboriginal Australia. We extend that

respect to all Aboriginal and Torre Strait Islander students and families of Randwick Public School and

recognise the continuing connection Indigenous people have to the land and water of this region. We

must always remember that under the concrete and asphalt, this school is, was and always will be on

traditional Aboriginal land. May we continue to learn and grow together as a safe, respectful and united

community. Welcome back to school everyone!

StEPS is a free NSW Health service offered to all childcare and day care centres with the aim of screening the vision of all children who are 4 years of age or older (who have not previously had the vision screen). This health check is part of the child’s NSW blue book check and is highly recommended for all eligible children particularly before they head into school.

In Term 1 we offer our service in primary schools to:1. Screen any kindergarten children that did not attend child care last

year2. Screen any children who missed out on the screening at their

preschool
