Kororo Public School
Dear Parents,
Congratulations to our students in Year 3, Year 4 and Year 6 who have attended their overnight excursions this past fortnight. All the students have represented Kororo Public School positively, with outstanding manners and responsible behaviour. I heard on all accounts that a great time was had by all. Kororo Public School students have been doing a great job remembering our Positive Behaviour for Learning School Rules this term with many students making good choices and being Respectful, Safe and Engaged learners. As a result of this many of our classes have received their WATTY TIME! Many of you may have heard students talking about Watty Time. Well what is Watty Time? Watty Time is an opportunity for students to be rewarded for receiving the necessary amount of ‘Caught you being good” cards to access Watty Time. What are ‘Caught you being good cards? “Caught you being good” cards are received by students for following our school expectations: Respectful, Safe and Engaged. Students then hand “caught you being good” cards to their teacher and when the correct amount of cards are received students obtain a certificate allowing them to participate in Watty Time. Class certificates are handed out on Monday morning assemblies by Watty’s helper. We have included a photo of the first class recipients of Watty Time. I am sure that very soon
all classes will have achieved Watty Time!

The position of Treasurer needs to be filled and we urgently require a new volunteer to step in and take on this role. The duties of the Treasurer include: track fundraiser takings and expenses, process all payments, organise fundraiser floats, organise yearly insurance and check the inbox at school for any correspondence.
Ideally this person would have an hour or two every couple of weeks to ensure bills are paid in a timely manner. If you are interested in the position but cannot make the meeting on Monday, please contact the school office. Thank you.
FRUIT AND VEG MONTH

classes, students will then track this using a
sticker chart.
