Celebrating 30 Years of Interplex History
[ article continued on back page ]

1989 2013
Tim Fenningham: Before we start, I have something to show you. (Tim slides three photos across the table). These pictures came from my father’s archives [John Fenningham]. I thought you’d like to see the build-out of the space we’re sitting in. And here’s one of him standing at the window of the back office, which is now my office.
NI: Do you know the year on these?
TF: He labeled them “1989” - so this would be when we moved our offices.
NI: What a great glimpse of history!
TF: This year marked a 30-year relationship at the Neshaminy Interplex, and though we’ve moved buildings and expanded over the years, our rootshave remained in the same place.
NI: Can you give a little Firm history?
TF: We’re a second generation General Practice firm. Basically, we do complex litigation on par with larger law firms: construction claims, lien work, real estate, land use, business entity start-ups, estate planning, zoning, transactional law and a lot more.
Like me, Tom Stevens is also the son of a founding partner. We preach continuity here, and not just for the attorneys. We have staff that has been here just as long as some partners.
NI: That’s rare these days.
TF: It is. A lot of our corporate clients are generational too, so succession planning has become part of our firm’s services for individuals and companies.
NI: Do you know how the founders selected this location for the office?
TF: They wanted to pinpoint a place convenient to their clients. This is an area that can be accessed throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties. That also meant getting to courthouses in Doylestown, Norristown, Philadelphia, Camden and Trenton. Our clients found it easy to find us too from all points of PA and New Jersey.
NI: Sounds like you made a good decision 30 years ago.
TF: This location has been everything we could have asked for, inside and out. The building offers a professional setting and the grounds are well-kept.
Also, weather issues are no problem here. We often work long hours based
on the caseload. I’ve noticed snow removal is extremely responsive.

Law firm Fenningham, Stevens & Dempster, LLP shares a unique place in the annals of the Interplex. The firm started out here in 1983 with an office in BUILDING THREE and by 1989 had moved to its current space in BUILDING FIVE. We sat down with Timothy Fenningham, son of founder John Fenningham, to swap tales of their three decades as a Neshaminy Interplex tenant.
It’s not fall at the Neshaminy Interplex until we
smell Smoke ‘n Dudes barbecue, brush past
cornstalks lining the paths, hear DJ music
pumping, and see caramel apples and apple
cider being handed out in the fountain
courtyard. Lots of fun, great food and
lunchtime crowds gathered together on
OCTOBER 9, 2013 to celebrate our annual
Fall Fest. Most importantly, it gave the
Korman Commercial staff another
opportunity to let our tenants know how
much we appreciate your support here
at the Neshaminy Interplex. So thank
you again, and we hope to see you
soon for Spring Fest.

Support of Special Olympics athletes is a cause near and dear to our hearts at Neshaminy Interplex. As we’ve done in past years, Korman Commercial Properties management made a $5,000.00 charitable donation to the local chapter of Special Olympics in Bucks County. We made this donation on behalf of all of the Neshaminy Interplex tenants as a holiday gift to these children. Over the years we have gotten to truly appreciate the hard work of these young athletes, and know how important it is to help maintain funding for their training programs. We recently learned that Erik Griffith with be participating in the USA National Games next year, after qualifying this past summer at Penn State University. Erik, along with 240 other Pennsylvania athletes, will be competing against 3500 others from across the country – a perfect illustration of how far these kids can go with our support. We wish good luck to Erik and all of our Bucks County athletes in the new year!
FALL FEST ISFUN FOR ALL
Celebrating our 2013 Best of Bucks award for Commercial Real Estate is a big deal for the Neshaminy Interplex. For example, to thank everyone for voting for us last year at this time, custom logo cookies were distributed to tenant companies of the Interplex business park. This year, Korman Commercial Properties decided to again celebrate the 2013 honor with sweets, commissioning the acclaimed House of Cupcakes in Princeton (winner of Food Network’s Cupcake Wars) to create more than 1,400 delicious cupcakes. Boxes were personally delivered to each one of the tenant companies so that every person that works in the Neshaminy Interplex could enjoy being part of the award- winning Bucks County business park.
These custom pastries featured the Neshaminy Interplex logo on white icing and were ringed in either the green or blue corporate color sprinkles.

@interplexnewsThank you, thank you, thank you!!!!Never underestimate the value of a great snow
clearing crew! I can’t tell you how much the morning staff and I appreciated coming in this
morning to find, not just the parking lot clear, but
the sidewalks done as well! Opening at 6:30 in
inclement weather is depressing enough without
worrying where we stored our shovels and rock
salt from last year, but to come in and find out
we didn’t need them made our day! Just a little
part of our wonderful Korman experience!!! Center Director

E-RECYCLING UPDATEOur ongoing electronic recycling program took place on December 18, 2013 throughout the Neshaminy Interplex. We collected another 12,000 pounds of old computers, monitors, printers, phone systems, and other small electronic devices for safe recycling from our tenants. This pushes our tally to more than 50,000 pounds of e-recycling to date in this effort to be environmentally-friendly. This FREE service will be coming up again soon, so stay tuned for your opportunity to e-recycle .

NI: Is there anything else you want to share about your experiences in the Interplex business park?
TF: Everyone here loves your Spring Fest and Fall Fest events. As for the facilities, I run marathons so I’ll use the perimeter of the park to train during the warm weather, or the fitness center during the off season.
It’s truly a great place to work. I remember running around my dad’s office when I was five years old, later being given general tasks as I got older, spending college summers filing papers and shuttling to the storage lockers two blocks up the road...and I’m sure Tom Stevens has similar recollections.
NI: Sounds like great memories...
TF: They are. I think that our law firm and Korman Commercial Properties share a similar mindset. As I mentioned, we are all about family and continuity. Legal assistant Diane Heaton started here the same day my father opened the doors 30 years ago. We have very little turnover and we’re proud of the opportunity to provide a great working environment and increase retention. It’s also why we recently renewed our lease here. We know the Interplex ‘gets it’ – because you demonstrate the same type of attention to service that we do. So, thanks for the past 30 years...and counting!
NI: We are so glad to have you here as a tenant. And thanks for sharing the old photos with us!

For several years now, Korman Commercial Properties management has made a holiday donation to the Bucks County chapter of Special Olympics in the name of all of our tenants. To commemorate this gift, we presented a potted plant to each tenant company throughout the office park. Here, Nancy Fox delivers a plant to the staff of CKR INTERACTIVE located in BUILDING TWO.
