Did You Know?

• In 2009-2011 editions of U.S. News & World Report’s America’s Best Colleges, LSU ranked in the first tier for “Best National Universities.”

• LSU Campus Indian Mounds (2): man-made archaeological sites that have been radiocarbon dated to 5,000+ years old; would have served as a meeting place for Native Americans and local groups to gather and exchange information during the “Archaic Period”– Campus Mounds older than the

Egyptian pyramids and Stonehenge

Why Love Purple and Live Gold?

• The LSU experience is like no other (lots of school spirit), and the academics are exceptional and challenging.

• Close to home = close-knit support from my mother

• Most importantly, I’ll have a friend and someone I can always count on – my sister. Attending the same university and staying at home, we can keep our strong bond – something I don’t ever want to lose.
