Lee’s paintings combine the two invisible spaces beyond human conciousness. Microscopic images of cellular tissues and abstract-like drawings of the gigantic universe are representing those two opposed spaces. They are distinctively opposite in capacity, however, they don’t seem to be dissimilar as they are both invisible by human eyes and senses. We now learnt that even our lives rely on those two worlds and their existance is firmly constituted by the modern technology in science. Lee’s paintings are stories of these two contradicting worlds which are also destined to derive organically and harmoniously to make those two ends meet. His concept of the two senses are very much related to the theory of relativity as well as the oriental mysticism. Lee’s observant depiction of the two spaces have established very much of his own perspective and attitude towards the world whether it relates inner or outer side of himself.
