Yim Geun-hyeong, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Hungary hosted a reception on the occasion of the National Day of Korea at the residence. is day Korean people annually celebrate the day of foundation of ancient Korean kingdom, Gojoseon. e event was attended by the representatives of the Hungarian political and social life, and the members of the diplomatic corps. At the end of September, the members of the diplomatic commu- nity and the classical music lovers of Budapest had the chance to enjoy a great concert performed by the Korean Symphonic Orchestra at the magnificent Grand Hall of the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy organized by the Korean Cultural Centre in Budapest. e orchestra, which was established in 1985 numbering 100 members, has been working for the advancement of Korea’s artistic and performance culture. e program of the concert included the compositions of Liszt, Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky conducted by Chi-Yong Chung, with the superb perfor- mance of the Canadian-American violinist, Christel Lee, playing on a violin by Lorenzo Storioni (Cremona) from 1781. Ezen a napon a koreaiak minden évben megünneplik az ősi Koreai királyság, Gojoseon alapítását. Az eseményen megje- lentek a magyar politikai és társadalmi élet képviselői, és a diplo- máciai testület tagjai. Szeptember végén a Budapesti Koreai Kulturális Központ szervezésében a diplomáciai közösség tagjai és a klasszikus zene budapesti rajongói csodálatos koncertet élvezhettek a Koreai Szimfonikus Zenekar előadásában, a Liszt Ferenc Zeneművé- szeti Egyetem gyönyörű nagytermében. Az 1985-ben alapított 100 tagú zenekar sokat tesz Korea művészeti és előadás kultú- rája fejlődéséért. A koncert programjában Liszt-, Mendelssohn- és Csajkovszkij-darabok szerepeltek. A zenekart Chi-Yong Chung vezényelte, és a közönséget fantasztikus előadással káp- ráztatta el a kanadai-amerikai hegedűművész, Christel Lee, aki egy 1781-ben Lorenzo Storioni (Cremona) által készített hege- dűn játszott.
