A Korean engineering/construction company Acting on the termination of a dredging contract with a Vietnamese government entity and advising on settlement negotiations with a Vietnamese entity for a dispute arising out of the construction of a new container terminal in Vietnam.

A Korean-owned power company Acting in ICC arbitration proceedings relating to the construction of a power plant in the Middle East.

A major Korean corporation Acting in a KLRCA arbitration arising from an infrastructure project in Malaysia.

International arbitration

A European incorporated ship owner Acting in an SIAC arbitration (seated in Singapore) commenced by a Korean shipbuilding company for the alleged wrongful termination of a shipbuilding contract. The SIAC proceedings included an application for emergency relief and a hearing before the emergency arbitrator in which we obtained a successful result. Also, acting in an ICC arbitration (seated in Singapore) against a Korean bank in respect of guarantees – this involved proceedings before the Korean courts.
