Styled by legendary car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro and recently updated, Korando is a true blend of Italian form and Korean function. The front end styling features a new grille and modern projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights to give a sharp contemporary look. Korando now has a completely new interior that is both modern in its design and driver-friendly in its function. The dashboard features soft touch materials and an integrated passenger airbag. There is an abundance of storage space including two cup holders, a mobile phone tray and sunglasses holder.

Korando’s height gives a commanding view with leather seats heated front and rear,* that smoothly adjust to fit you. There’s also air conditioning, a high quality six speaker audio with Bluetooth MP3/iPod connectivity and steering wheel controls, front, side and curtain airbags and cruise control.

Korando’s Torque on Demand 4x4 talks to itself, thinks and acts many times a second. A network of sensors maintain a stream of reports to the system’s central processor, which makes lightning decisions about power and braking. The result: you’re always serenely in control.

TORQUE ON DEMAND 4X4 SYSTEM

Korando EX features an advanced 4x4system that operates in two modes,depending on conditions and settings. AUTO MODE

In auto mode and in normal conditions,Korando remains in two wheel drive tooptimise fuel efficiency. When sensorsdetect a potential loss of grip, the systemswitches to four wheel drive mode.

LOCK MODE

For very loose or slippery surfaces, the 4x4 system can be locked to allocate drive equally between front and rear wheels. This provides supreme grip and control for low-speed manoeuvres.

HILL START ASSIST

A great ally when towing, this system acts like an automatic handbrake to prevent rolling backwards during a hill start.

Korando’s new e-XDi diesel engine is clean, efficient and powerful. Mated to a 6 speed manual transmission it develops 149PS between 3400-4000rpm, whilst the 6 speed automatic is fitted with the high output 175PS version. Both develop 360Nm of torque between 1500 and 2800rpm giving a wide spread of power – enough whether towing, off-roading or performing normal family duties.

In towing, numbers certainly tell the true story - Korando’s sturdy construction and strong engine performance give a 2 tonne towing capacity across the range.

And Korando is rapidly becoming a favourite of caravan towers, a fact recently recognised by Korando SE’s win in the under £16,000 category of the 2014 Caravan Club towcar of the year awards.
