Department of commerce with CA organized a Seminar on Seminar on
career prospects for commerce students in central and State Services on 25,h
fuly 2016. Mr.T.Kunar, Head of the Department welcomed the garhering.
Dr. C.A. Vasuki, Secretary and Director Presided over the function.
Dr.T.Mnraleeswari Mam, principal and. chief Executive officer
Dr.V.Grinnusamy Sir Felicitate the gathering.
The chief guest for the first session was Dr.V.Padmanaban, Course
Director of IAS Academy, Bharathiar University. The session was very
interactive and informative. He explains about wider oppornrnities available for
the students in central and state services and he gave the guidelines for the
students for preparing for civil services and banking sector examinations.
The chief guest for the second session Dr. N. Mahendran, president,
Indian Medical Association, Coimbatore. The session was very interactive and.
informative and it covered healthy life style for the students. The program was
highly successfuI as the students also interacted with us to clear their
misconceptions about the deadly disease. Nearly 210 studenrs were highly

The Department of Computer Technology conducted an Inaugural Function BLITZKERGOTZ
on26.07.16 (Tuesday). The function was started with welcome address by Association President
Ms. Haripriya of III B.Sc Computer Technology, presided by the Principal Dr.T.Muraleeswari
and the Chief Executive Officer Dr. V.Chinnusamy. The Chief Guest Dr. P. Nandhakumar,
Senior Software Engineer, Easy Design Systems Private Ltd. Coimbatore was delivered the
special address on Creative Ideas in Web Development. In his speech, he explained the web
development concepts and current job opportunities in IT. Finally, Association Vice President
Mr. Sai Kiran of II B.Sc Computer Technology proposed vote of thanks. Nearly 134 students
were participated in this seminar.

Science College has convened an Intemational Conference on "Contemporary Issues in GlobalBanking on0410812016.
In the lnauguration of the Conference, Professor .Dr. S. Nakkiran from Ambo University,Ethiopia, has acted as the chief guest. In his keynote address he expressed that Bank runs inspectrum of loss in developing countries due to high Interest rate, Mismanagement of fund and
poor regulatory mechanism. China and Japan are known for the Best Banking Practices. ThoughIndia has been marching towards inclusive growth, it faces several challenges due to structuralproblems, Environmental challenges and mounting NPA. Stringent measures (Legal as well as
operational) must be taken to cut the rate of NPA. Loans for Educational purpose should not be
treated on par with other loans. In building Infrastructure and capital information Industries, we
have to go long way, he

Report on Guest Lecture
The Department of Costume Design and Fashion of Kongunadu Arts and ScienceCollege, Coimbatore, orgatized a Guest Lecture on "CAD in Garment Designing,, by Mr.Sureshand Ms'Sajitha, Dream Zone, School of Creative Studies, Coimbatore for 3.d year CDFstudents (23 students). The program was conducted on 2'd Septemb er 2016 at 10.30 am to 4.00 pmin the Computer Lab VII.
Mrs'C'Sheeba, Assistant Professor, CDF Deparknent, Welcomed the gathering and introducedthe Chief Guest and also encouraged the students to actively participate and gain knowledge withupdated ideas from the Designer.
In morning session, Mr.Suresh gave an introduction about the software - Adobe photoshopand explained how to use the tools to create a design and to incorporate it in the garment. He had madethe lecture very interesting by interacting with students and by teaching the shortcut keys. The studentswere also eagerly participated and design their garments more creatively.
In afternoon session Ms. Sajitha demonstrated how to create a logo design for garments.During the lecture session the chief guest, gave ideas on how to start with fashion designer portfolioprofessionally and also gave demo on making portfolio. At last the chief guest explained about thecourses in dream zone and he gave an offer to the students who answered majority of the questions inthe lecture' B.Nandhini, S.Sridevika and R.Selvi of IIr B.Sc., CDtr'got scholarships of TsoAr s1ohand 25Yo discounts in their fee to learn any dream zone courses. It was very informative sessionfor students to shape their career in fashion designing.

Workshop on "Biocomposting and Vermicomposting" at the college premises on 15th
September, 2016. The aim of this workshop is to make the young and aspiring participants to
involve in utilization of biowaste to produce biocompost and vermicompost. Demo-cum-lecture
session was given by Mrs. Chitra Krishnaswamy, Siruthuli Apex Member, Coimbatore, Dr. C. N.
Manoj, Chief Executive, Pelican Biotech & Chemical Labs P Ltd, Alleppey, Kerala, Dr. P.
Kathireshwari, Assistant Professor rn Zoology, KASC, Dr. M. Kalaiselvi, Assistant Professor in
Biochemistry, KASC. About 250 participants including Students, Research Scholars, Faculty
Members and Scientists from various Universities, Colleges and Research Institutes have
benefited out of this workshop. This workshop was organized by Dr. V.Bhuvaneshwari and
Dr.R.Amsaveni, Assistant Professors in Biotechnology, Kongunadu Arts and Science College,
Coimbatore.

and our respected Chief Executive Officer Dr.V.Chinnusamy were welcomed by the bouquet
made by our B.Com students.

our chief guest Mr.S.Sathish Kumar, tr'ounder and CEO Yellow Tree
Academy, Race Course, Coimbatore. They learnt new animation and
graphic tools which they can incorporate to develop their new multimedia
applications. They trained the students for creating new cartoon characters
and to animate them. The seminar was very interactive and it motivated the
students to create their own multimedia applications. Nearly 149 students
participated in the seminar.

The department of .Costume Design and Fashion conducted trvo days workshop ..Screen
Printing" on 4th & 5th January 2017 nTextile Processing lab for II year CDF Students(around40)' The workshop was inaugurated by Chief Executive Officer Mr.V.Chinnusamy and Welcomespeech by Mrs.R.Umamaheswari, Head of the Department of Costume Design and Fashion.
The Workshop was demonstrated by Ms.Kanimozhi and Mr.ArokiyaRaj from VaramozhiDesign studio, Sivakasi. On the first day workshop, the study materials with regard to theworkshop was distributed to the students .The process like design making, Screen printing,Screen exposing and Printing Procedures using different types of binders in different materialswith normal binder, Fast binder, Emboss binder, Pearl binder, and Gold binder weredemonstrated to students and practiced by them.
On the Second day of workshop printing on dark coloured fabric using khadi binder and foilbinder was worked. The Students made their own pattern using the developed screens. At the endof the noon session, a Plain saree was decorated using pearl binder printing. Nearly 40 studentsgained knowledge about various screen printing binders and other processes and they felt that theworkshop was very interesting and useful. Finally, the workshop was ended with the vote ofthanks by Ms.Ishrath Faritha of II year B.sc costume Design & Fashion.

REPORT ON GUEST LECTURB (24.03.17)
The Department of Costume Design and Fashion has planned to conduct guest lecture on
"Opportunities for Fashion Designers" for CDF students on23.03.17 from 10.30am and l23A
noon by Mr.P.Thirukumaran, HrlAdmin Manager,Sri Anuragavi Garments,Tirupur
The student representative of first year Sri Swetha welcomed the guest and the students. Mrs.
R.Umamaheswari, HOD Dept of CDF honored the guest with memento. P.Thirukumaran,
Alumini of the departrnent highlighted his speech with the opportunities in the present arena of
textiles. The scope of technical textiles and its growth in global export. He highlighted on taking
up project oriented on technical textiles. He also highlighted the importance of communication
and preparation of resume for particular post in textile field. Our I,IL&[I years around 126
students actively participated. Finally With vote of thanks by Miss.Sujana of II Bsc,CDF the
session ended with successfully.
