KONE MonoSpace®

Job Site RequirementsAccess to the building for the delivery truck with astandard 53’(16.15 m) trailer and a dry, protectedstorage space of no less than 10’ x 20’ (3048 x 6096)adjacent to the hoistway must be provided.

The hoistway must be clean and dry and constructedper the final KONE layout drawing. The hoistway musthave 3 walls constructed and plumb within -0/+2" (-0/+50) throughout the total hoistway height.

Hoistway(s) to be in accordance with code, includingpit design and guide rail bracket support. Entire frontwall (and rear wall; if applicable) must be left fullyopen at all landings to provide access for KONE personnel to install all necessary hoistway components.

Removable, OSHA compliant barricades must beprovided around all hoistway openings per OSHA 29CFR 1926.502.

Permanent or temporary three phase power and single-phase power of permanent characteristics mustbe available for hoisting and installation of the elevatorequipment.

A hoist beam (by KONE) must be installed (by others)in the elevator overhead per the approved final KONElayout drawings.

Provide finished floor marks to be visible from thehoistway openings at all landings. Provide adequatelighting in the applicable work areas.

Provide two (2) lifeline attachments at the top, front of each hoistway. Each attachment must be capable of withstanding a 5000 lb. (2268 kg) load per OSHA29 CFR 1926.502.
