KONDININ LIONS CLUB

The Kondinin Lions will be holding a

BBQ outside the Lions Shop

on Thursday

4 OCTOBER 2018.

So head down and grab a sausage

sizzle, hamburger, cool or hot drink.

THE HUMPS STANDPIPE

At long last the new 275,000 litre tank and Standpipe Controller at The Humps is now in operation and up and running.

Water is now being drawn via a new pipeline directly from the Humps dam. The new tank and the 2 existing tanks have all

been linked together providing a more reliable emergency water source year round.

As a result of this the existing overhead standpipe and water meter are shortly to be removed.

What this now means is that the water is no longer coming directly from the mains and is therefore not treated resulting in it

becoming a non-potable water source.

Access to the water is via the camlocks on the Standpipe Controller and therefore a Swipe Card is required. If you are a farmer

and access to the water is required and you don’t have an existing Swipe Card please contact the Shire Office on 9889 1006 to

arrange to get one. Please note if you have an existing card you will be able to use it at the new controller.

This has been a joint project funded by the Shire of Kondinin, Department of Water and Environmental Regulation and the

Water Corporation.
