ESTABLISHMENT
Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy, Kondhwa (Bk.), Pune under the aegis of Sinhgad
Technical Education Society has been established in the year 2005-06 for the conduct of B. Pharm.
course with 60-intake capacity. It is the eleventh year of inception of the institute. The institute
now offers PG course M. Pharm in Pharmaceutics (24), Pharm. Chemistry (18), Pharmacology (18)
& Quality Assurance (24). It also offers Ph. D. programme in Pharmaceutical Sciences. It enjoys
the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India
(PCI), State Govt. of Maharashtra, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), MS, Mumbai. B.
Pharm course has permanent affiliation status by the University of Pune from the year 2012-13.

Induction cum orientation programme for B. Pharm
This year induction programme was conducted on 23rd July 2015 at Sinhgad Technical
Education Society’s, Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy, Kondhwa.The programme
began with the welcome address by Principal Dr. S. D. Sawant. He emphasized need of sincerity,
hard work, time management, communications skills and self-discipline for success in academics
and career.The chief guest for induction programme was Mr. Sachin Itkar, Director - Palash
Healthcare Ltd & Senior Programme Advisor - Strategic Foresight Group. The talk was well
received by all students & faculty.This was followed by address by Shri Anant Sardeshmukh,
Director General, Maratha Chamber Of Commerce Industries & Agriculture.
Dr. Mrs. Sharmishtha Deshpande Professor, Department of Psychiatry guided the freshers on
psychological health.The faculty member Dr. Mrs. J. R. Madan spoke on scope & potential of
pharmacy profession.Students were informed by Mrs. Minal Ghante about the academic course
structure for B. Pharm and the examination pattern.The faculty member Ms. Manjusha Dole
motivated the freshly admitted students on the topic learning strategies & study habits.Mrs. Neha
Munot addressed the students on cultural activities Sinhgad Karandak, extracurricular and co -
curricular activities, sports activities, student insurance schemes, NSS, & other schemes by
University of Pune.
Certificates of Merit were also awarded to the meritorious students of first, second, third and
final year B. Pharm. students of University Examinations held in April/May 2015. Faculty
sponsored scholarships to needy and meritorious students were given in the function.
Induction programme for M.Pharm Students
Induction programme for M.Pharm students was held on 4th Aug 2015. The newly admitted
students of M.Pharm Sem I course were guided about the Careers and avenues after M.Pharm by
Principal Dr. S.D.Sawant. The programme was co-ordinated by Dr. Amit G. Nerkar, PG
Academic Incharge. Dr. Amit G.Nerkar made students aware about rules and regulations of the
M.Pharm Course. Examination Scheme was also informed to the students. All PG staff and
students attended the programme.

Welcome party
Welcome party was organised on 22nd August 2016 by the second year B.Pharm and M.Pharm
students to welcome the first year B.Pharm students. Mr Shivam Nahatkar and Ms Poonam
.Shinde were selected as Mr and Ms Pharma in the event conducted on that day.
Freshers Party
Freshers party for first year B.Pharm and M.Pharm students was arranged on 21st August 2015.

Teachers Day
The students of Final Year B. Pharm celebrated teachers day in the college.The afternoon session
began with the felicitation of the teachers by the students. Principal Dr. S. D. Sawant gave

The World Pharmacist Day was celebrated on 24th Sept 2015.The theme for the function was

National Pharmacy Week (NPW)
The Indian Pharmaceutical Association Pune Branch Celebrated 54th National Pharmacy Week,
2015 from 12th October To 17th October 2015. This year total 15 competitions were held under
the banner of IPC Pune initiated 54th NPW celebrations. SKNCOP took part in all events with
great zeal. In all SKNCOP students bagged five prizes in different events.
Pharma Ad Mad competition was hosted by Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy. This
competition was organized on 17/10/15. Total 30 teams participated in the competition. Teams
were free to choose any pharmaceutical product to make a funny advertisement.
The competition was inaugurated by S.T.E.S’s Vice President, Prof. S.N.Navale, Principal of
SKNCOP, Dr. S. D. Sawant, NPW coordinator of SKNCOP , Mrs. Meera Singh and two judges
appointed by the IPA Pune branch Dr Alpana Kulkarni ( Prof. MIP Pune ) & Mr. Yadav Pradeep.

Bravura 2016
Pharmacy colleges under the aegis of STES organized a Pharma Tech Fest: Bravura 2016.The
idea to organize this Pharma Tech Fest: Bravura 2016 for Pharmacy students was initiated by
Vice President (Admin) Ms. Rachana Navale madam. Under her guidance, motivation and help
this event was organized from 13th Jan to 14th Jan 2016.
The basic objective to organize this event was to provide platform to all young pharmacy
students to show their talent and to inculcate the research attitude in the students that will help
them in future growth.
Under this Pharma Tech Fest four events wee organized. The Pharma Tech Fest was inaugurated
on 14th Jan at the hands of Dr. Jayant Khandare, Director (Research), MIP with his key note
address on Research, Innovation and Invention. Welcome address was given by Dr. K.N.Gujar,
Principal, Sinhgad College of Pharmacy, Vadgaon and Dr. Sawant, Principal, Smt. Kashibai
Navale College of Pharmacy, Kondhwa. Preamble of this event was given by Mrs. A.N. Ranade,
Coordinator. Dr. K. G. Bothara, Principal, Sinhgad Institute of Pharmacy Narhe Dr. Kane,
Principal, Sinhgad Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Lonavala was also present for the
inaugural function.

First event was Out of Box- Innovative Advertisement Competition. Advertisement or marketing
is one of the three main fields after graduation to develop the carrer. How students advertise
specific product in effective manner was judged by experts Mr. Keyur Dandekar and Dinesh
Chaudhari. The expert guided students about innovative advertisement and its importance in the
field of Pharmaceutical Science. Total 24 students participated in this event under 4 teams from
different Pharmacy colleges. The Event was organized by STES’s Sinhgad Institute of Pharmacy
Narhe and coordinators were Mr. Amol Bansode and Mr. Jignesh Parikh
Second event was Logic to Magic- Industrial Trouble Shooting Competition organized by
STES’s Sinhgad Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, Lonavala under coordination of Mr.
Mayuresh Raut and Mrs. Sucheta Bhise. Pharmacy is applied field Science based on Physics,
chemistry and Biology. Students should require the knowledge of all fields and think to find the
solution for problems in industry. Actual Problem was given to students on 13th Jan and solution
of that problem was judged on 14th Jan. Dr. Savita Yadav and Dr. Ravindra Yadav from Poona
College of Pharmacy judged the event. 75 students participated in this event under 15 teams.
Third Event was Eureka- Research Project Competition. Students presented their research work
in the form of oral and poster presentation. This event was organized by STES’s Sinhgad College
of Pharmacy, Vadgaon. Mrs. A. N. Ranade and Mrs. S. N. Shrotriya acted as coordinators.Total
22 students participated under 11 teams. Dr. R. D. Patankar form Abhinav College of Pharmacy,
Narhe, Pune and Dr. S. H. Bhosale from Poona College of Pharmacy were judges for this event.
The fourth event was Simulation, 3-D live demonstrative Model Competition. 3D models of
Pharmaceutical, Biological and Chemical Sciences and its importance was the basic objective.
This event was organized by STES’s Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy, Kondhwa.
Venue for the event was STES SCOP, Vadagaon, Lab 103. Dr. M. B. Deshpande, CEO, Global
Nutricare and Dr. G. R. Aland , Ex-Associate Professor, SKNCOP were invited as Judges of the
competition. Dr. A. G. Nerkar, Associate Profesor, SKNCOP was the event Co-ordinator. Total
28 students participated under 7 teams of 4 students each. SIOP, Narhe team was awarded as
winner and SIPS, Lonavala was the runner up for the event.
All four competitions were conducted at Sinhgad College of Pharmacy, Vadgaon (Bk), Pune-
411041 and total of around 150 students participated in four events.
Winners of the competition received cash prize of Rs. 2000 along with a certificate. Runner up of
the competitions received cash prize of Rs. 1000 along with a certificate. Certificate of
appreciation was given to all the participants as well.

Preliminary Round of Intercampus Solo Dance Event of Neon -2016
The Preliminary round of intercampus Solo dance event of Neon -2016 was held at S.T.E.S’s
Smt Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy, Kondhwa campus on 12th September 2015.
Prof. S.N Nawale Sir the chief guest for the function inaugurated the programme.
Dr S.D Sawant, Principal Smt Kashibai Navala College of Pharmacy, Kondhwa, Dr. Mrs.
Deepshikha Pathak and Mrs Mhedha Kumbhojkar (Judges for the event) were present for the
inauguration function. Twentyeight students participated in the competition. The judges declared
the results. Group dance of SKNCOP was selected in the preliminary round of Neon -2016.

Social Activities NSS National Service Scheme
NSS Camp was organized under the NSS scheme by STES’s Smt. Kashibai Navale College of
Pharmacy, Kondhwa at, Bori Pardhi Choufulla Solapur District Pune from 22/1/2016 to
28/1/2015.
Various activities such as cleaning of the base camp & five temples nearby,tree plantation
outside the base camp,building and repairs of dam, visit to Morya Dairy & Urja Dairy & Milk
Products, Students also visited Prajakta School for mentally retarded children & assisted them
in cleaning of residential premises & tree plantation.Lectures were given by Mr. Handal,
Mr.Vatre & Mr. Chavhan Sir, Mr. Jayaram Supe during the camp.
The programme was concluded with the address of S. N. Navale Sir Vice President STES who
addressed the students on teamwork, self-independence and importance of social work.
Principal Dr. S. D. Sawant in his closing remarks emphasized on personality development of the
students.Faculty member Mr. Prashant Sarda coordinated the programme.
Industrial Visits
1) Industrial visit was organized for Second year B.Pharm students on 1st and 2nd Oct 2015 at
Wockhardt Ltd and Adora Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Students along with faculty visited various
departments such as raw material, quarantine, change rooms, production department, quality
control department, packaging department etc.Visit was coordinated and facilitated by staff
members Mrs.Neha M. Munot & Mr.Prashant Sarda acompanied by nonteaching staff
Mr.Pandurang Nalawade.
2) Industrial visit was organised for T.Y.B.Pharm students at Rasamrut Ayurved Pharmacy,
Hadapsar on 1st March 2016. The students visited various departments like
tablet,capsule,liquid,Bhasma,Asava & Arishta where manufacturing was carried out.They
also visited Nakshatra garden and Botanical garden of Sumatibhai Shah Ayurvedic
Mahavidhyalaya, Hadapsar. The coordinaters of the visit were Mrs M.M Abhyankar and
Mrs S.G Jagtap.

Farewell function
Farewell function was organized in the college for final year B.Pharm and M.Pharm students on
15th April 2016.Dr Vijay Whadia Principal, Sinhgad Academy of Engineering Kondhwa campus,
was the chief guest for the function.
Faculty sponsored Scholarship was given to six students in the function. Various certificates of
the winners of NPW was also distributed in the function.
Ms Chinmayee Zemse (Final year B.Pharm) and Mr Deepak Pawar (M,Pharm) were selected
as the best outgoing student of 2016 batch. Mrs P.P Lasure and Mrs M M Abhyankar co-
ordinated the function.
Alumni Meet
Seventh SKNCOP Alumni meet was held on 6th Feb 2016 at Sibar Lawns. Total 81 students
attended the meet and graced the function.The function comprised of registration & interaction
of alumni, followed by prize distribution for Pharma Cup, Aavishkar Contestants and special
Achievement Award for Alumni students.The function ended with sumptuous dinner.
Parent Teacher Meeting
Parent Teacher Meeting was conducted on 27th June 2015 coordinated by Dr. S. S. Pawar. Total
14 parents attended the meeting.The agenda for the meeting was to discuss the career prospects
for students after B. Pharm, examination pattern for sessional & SPPU exam, facilities in college
and campus. Further feedback was collected from the parents.College visit was arranged for the
parents towards the end of the programme
