My brother Knights, I hope the note finds you and your family doing well. First I wouldlike to say Thank you to all of the Knights, Lady Knights, Women’s group and othersthat helped with the Welcoming Committee dinner, SPY cookout and especially with thefirst responder’s luncheon. I would have to say that all of the events were a success. Second, I ask that you all pray for the people that have recently passed away, SK TomMoore and for Vicki King, for their family and close friends. May their souls and thesouls of the faithfully departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. October is upon us, the ST Philip Casino is on Oct 27, and we will need all the help youcan provide. If you wish to help please contact Tim Jasper at 469-450-1831. Ticketsales for the casino night, new member recruitment and Keep Christ in Christmas signsand magnets will be sold after each mass. If you are a Knight please come out andhelp us sale and recruit so that our events can be more successful. The St Philip Knights of Columbus is a very busy organization and we would like tohave as many people involved in all of our events. Our number one principle is Charityand for us to be able to help other organizations we need to raise funds. In October wehave Our Lady of Lebanon parking, St Philip Casino and the start of the Coats for Kids. November seems to be a slow month but we will be building the Keep Christ inChristmas yard signs and have them ready by Thanksgiving. Remember our Councilmeets on the first Thursday of the month and if you wish to get involved in any of ourevents or programs this would be a great place to start. Thank you and may the spirit of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity be reflected in everythingwe do. GK Louis Hernández [email protected] 214-300-1931

Letter from the EditorThe newsletter looks different, I know. Ihope you like it. I've made an attempt tokeep the content the same, just a newformat. I tried to continue to use theMicrosoft Publisher document previouslyutilized to create the newsletters. Theprimary issue is PC vs Mac. MicrosoftPublisher being a PC only application.Your's truly being a Mac only operation. This newsletter was created in Canva, anonline application. Hopefully future editorswill be able to use this format no matterwhat type of computer they're using. I hope you enjoyed the cover backgroundart I chose this month. It's Rembrandt's"Storm on the Sea of Galilee". I thought it afitting image to represent the times thechurch is going through. I'm eager to hear your suggestions andcomments (positive or negative) on thenewsletter, Facebook page, Website, etc. Any pictures from events and noteworthythings the council has done areappreciated!
