Sloane FC welcome Kodak (Harrow) to Hackney Marshes Centre.
Kodak and Sloane meet for the return leg of the season with both teams coming into this game on the back of disappointing losses. Antony Mason is the new manager at Kodak (Harrow) after Nick decided to hand over the reigns just before Christmas following a 7 game losing streak in the league. Antony started positively and had the ‘Martin O’Neil effect’ as Kodak beat Sp.Hackney 2-1 and West Essex 6-2 at home, however his first away game at Hounslow on 3G didn’t go so well and they suffered a 3-1 loss. Sloane have not started
2012 well, and a defence that was so solid last year seems to be resting on its laureals as 8 goals have been conceeded in two games. Now out of the cup following an embarrassing defeat to Division 1 side Pitshanger Dynamo, Sloane go into this game, as they always do against Kodak, with the desire to win. With little to play for this season Sloane will now concentrate on their league target of a top 5 finish. Sloane are a little of the pace at the moment being 3pts behind Singh Sabbha who have a game in hand. However Sloane still have the top
5 still to play and should expect at least 9pts from a possible 15 to reach their target. A top 5 spot would be a real change of fortune for the club, having to really focus on the positives of 2010/11 having ended that season so close to relegation. Sloane will of course need to improve their home form only once, against 3rd placed FC Romania, from 7 games. It seems that throwing away leads is Sloane’s preffered tactic at home, and with Kodak always out to prove themselves today against Sloane it should be an exciting game.
The Manager
Sloane FC vs Kodak (Harrow) FC
Sloane FC was established in 2007, and now in their 5th season the club has ambitions for promotion to Step 6 and silverware in the cabinet. Sloane 1sts play in the Middlesex County Football League Premier Division. Sloane Reserves play in the MCFL Senior Reserve Division. In their inaugural season (07/08) Sloane reached the semi-final of the London FA Junior Cup and finished 4th in MCFL Division 1 Central & East.
Sloane got promoted in 09/10 to Premier Division and have stayed their ever since. Narrowly surviving on the final day last season. Thanks to the Football Foundation, Sloane introduced a Sunday team for the 10/11 season who did well in their debut season being title contenders up until the final couple of game. Continuing in the 11/12 season they play in the Central London Sunday Super League Premier Division on Sunday Afternoons.
Sloane also have a Ladies team this season playing the Greater London Women’s League Div 3 North. The club celebrates it’s 5th Anniversary this season with many more social events and fundraising opportunities.
SJS London (Sloane) are the recent winners of the Paddington 6aside Monday night league.

Kodak Harrow F.C. was formed in 1935 for workers at Kodak’s Wealdstone factory and played in various Leagues until joining the London Commercial League in 1973.The highlight of recent seasons was in 2005/6 when we won the M.C.F.A. Intermediate Cup beating Indian Gymkhana in a thrilling final 2-1.
In 2007 the 1st team joined the M.C.F.L, playing in Division One (West), ending the season as champions. That same season the 2nd team also joined the M.C.F.L and play in the Senior Reserve Division.
Although the History books record Kodak Juniors winning the League cup in 1945 the Current Youth section has its roots in season 1995/6 when some of the adult players ran a summer school leading
to the creation of one youth team that joined the Harrow youth League. The following season another 4 teams were formed to play in the Harrow soccer 7’s combination & Harrow youth League, Last season we had a total of 14 teams playing in all age groups from Under 8’ to under 18’s
In 2003 we held our 1st 6-a-side summer tournament with just over 100 teams playing at all age groups, this has now become an annual event in July and in 2011 it had grown to over 150 teams.
As well as running 2 adult teams, Kodak youth F.C. will again be fielding 14 teams in season 2011/12 in the Harrow soccer 7’s combination, Harrow youth League.

Recent History
Sloane FC vs Kodak (Harrow) FC
Middlesex County Football League Premier Division updated 25.01.12
Sadly, there was to be no weekend win after a kaleidoscopic collection of setbacks derailed Sloane’s cup bid.
Train problems saw players take two hours to make the few miles to Old Deer Park in Richmond, and when they finally arrived were faced with a poor pitch.
Three key men were also unavailable and another three were ruled out injured.
Needless to say, Dynamo took an early lead although Samir Aalit had levelled things up by half time.
But defensive frailties in the reshuffled side saw Pitshanger take a 3-1 lead, the third a looping shot into the top corner.
Sloane made urgent changes in midfield and defence courtesy of debutant Dom Korobowicz and Robin Biela, back after a long injury, and Pigott himself came on for a flu-filled James Hall as reserve manager Dave Smith
offered a glimmer of hope with a 20-yarder that whistled into the back of the net.
Further chances went begging for both sides but the final nail in the coffin saw a one-on-one between Sloane keeper Albert McCausland and a Pitshanger forward go the way of the Ealing side.

Ladies 15-1 loss An 18 goal thriller last week which ended 11-7 against Sloane. The ladies had to endure another mauling. In a cup game against established side Battersea Ironsides, the ladies of Sloane got quite literally battered. That’s 26 goals conceded in 2 games. They play Luton Town tomorrow
Sundays 3-0 walkover Sundays jumped to top of the league but had to play Recreatvio FC at their place. Sloane went into a game without a goalie and debut for Danny Gajkowski between the sticks he was certainly thrown in at the deepend. 0-3 down Sloane came from behind to make it 2-3, before it ended 3-4.
