Kodah and Ivy and their dad, Tom, are best friends.

They visit the dog park to have fun

Their Dad loves them and loves to take photographs wherever

they go to preserve their memories.

The dog park is their favorite place to go.

This is where they get to meet other dogs and play.

Their dad has trouble getting around and thought this would be

a great way to exercise his beloved friends and do the right

thing by keeping them in shape.

This is where they met new people and made new friends.

They thought all the dogs in the park were wonderful and all

was safe……

Then one day…………..

A new dog came to the park.

He immediately took an aggressive stance against Kodah while

Tom was photographing his dogs having fun.

Neither Kodah nor Tom understood what was about to

happen….

They thought it would never happen to them in their park.

Their fun safe haven was about to change.

Ivy was about to see the ugly side of dog parks.

Ivy was about to be ruthlessly attacked by the new dog.

This trip to the park resulted in Ivy receiving multiple puncture

wounds in her neck. Bone was also broken off the top of her

shoulder blade.

The owner of the new dog was nowhere to be found. Ivy

needed surgery to fix her shoulder.

Tom was left with $1000 dollars in medical bills and a broken

heart as he watched his beloved Ivy recover from this attack.

Ivy is lucky to be alive.
