Graduate Master Program in Economics (GMAP Economics)

GMAP Economics is a two-year master program conducted by Graduate School of Economics (GSE)

All courses are taught in English

Students will be studying mainly economics, but they are also required to take business and law courses. GMAP emphasizes inter-disciplinary study. • GMAP Management and GMAP Law courses are provided by

Graduate School of Business Administration and Graduate School of Law, respectively.

(※1) All GMAP students are required to take GMAP Seminar in First-year Spring Semester. At the same time, GMAP students are advised to consult your potential Advisor in April.(※2) GMAP students may take Sub-Seminars, but those credits will NOT be counted for graduation requirement. Sub-Seminar will NOT be counted as an Elective Course, either.

About Semester-Quarter System• Kobe University is currently running under “Semester-

Quarter system" since 2018.

– Note that most of the courses offered on Saturdays will be running

under Semester system. Also, GMAP Law and Management courses

may be running under Semester system.

<What is Semester-Quarter system?>

Tuition payments and registration will remain on a Semester

system. However, when it comes to course offerings, some

courses are offered on Semester base (16 weeks) and some

courses are offered on Quarter base (8 weeks).

Spring Semester is comprised of Q1 and Q2, while Fall Semester is

comprised of Q3 and Q4 at Kobe University.

GSE.

About Course Registration Course Registration

Register your courses via Uribo-Net (うりぼーネット)

• Register for the courses offered in Q1 and Q2 during above registration period.

• GMAP Summer Intensive Course (if offered) must be registered during above registration period.

• For Ph.D. student only: You need to register for the designated Seminar by yourself.

Cancelation of Registered CoursesIf you need to cancel the registered courses, you must cancel the registered courses during the following cancelation period. • If you miss to cancel the registered course and do not take the exam, you will be

graded as ‘failure’ for that course.

修了までに、広い視野に立った深い学識とともに、経済学に関する高度な専門的知識を身に付け、社会において生じている事象を高次のレベルで分析、解明し、その成果をもとに社会に貢献するために、神戸大学のディプロマ・ポリシーに定める能力に加え、本研究科学生が身につけるべき能力を次のとおりとする。

・高度に論理的・数理的に思考する能力

・社会において生じている事象を高次のレベルで的確に分析し、その事象を解明できる能力

Kobe University web account (User ID and Password) will be sent

to you by mail (not e-mail).

AY2020 Spring Semester (Q1) will start from May 7th (Thu.)

※ For this year, all Q1 courses will be offered online. Format of Q2 courses

will be announced later on GSE HP.

About Academic Misconduct

Academic misconduct (exam cheating, plagiarism, fabrication,

falsification, etc.) is a serious offense at Kobe University. If

academic misconduct is confirmed, one will be severely penalized

(invalidation of course grades, suspension and/or expulsion from

the university).
