SCHOOL SPIRIT DAYS!!!

Please have your children show their School Spirit by wearing their

Cowlishaw Apparel or our school colors BLUE and GREEN every Friday!

The  PTA  organizes  Staff  Apprecia,on  Week  to  thank  and  to  celebrate  the  dedica5on  and  commitment  of  our  teachers  and  staff.    They  are  an  integral  part  of  the  Cowlishaw  community  and  we  want  to  show  them  our  gra5tude  by  organizing  a  few  events  during  the  week.    During  the  week  of  May  7th  –  May  11th  the  following  programs  have  been  planned  for  them:  the  students  will  give  the  teachers  something  special  throughout  the  week  (TBA),  a  “coffee  break”  with  coffee  and  goodies,  and  a  breakfast  and  raffle.

For  the  raffle,  we  would  like  to  have  as  many  giJs  as  possible  for  the  staff  so  we  are  asking  for  an  op5onal  dona5on  of  $5  to  purchase  gi<  cards  and/or  donated  gi<  cards.    If  you  would  like  to  par, cipate  in  the  dona,on  please  send  cash  or  check  (made  payable  to  JeaneGe  Fitzgerald)  no  later  than  May  4th.    Please  put  the  dona,on  in  an  envelope  marked  “Teacher  Apprecia,on/J  Fitzgerald”  and  send  it  to  the  office.    Please  note  that  giJ  cards  will  be  raffled  off  and  will  not  go  to  specific  teachers.

Should  you  have  any  ques5ons,  please  call  (630)  961-‐1746  or  email  me  at  [email protected]

Thanks,JeaneZe  Fitzgerald

The  Box  Tops/Labels  Contest  is  done  and  the  big  winner  of  the  pajama  day  is  Mrs.  Swi)'s  4th  grade  classroom  with  999  box  tops/labels!    Congratula?ons!    You  should  all  be  proud  of  yourselves  though  because  as  a  whole  we  collected  over  10,000  box  tops  and  labels!!    Nice  work!!    That  will  go  toward  our  playground  equipment  (labels)  and  our  PTA  programming  (Box  Tops).

Please  con5nue  to  send  in  your  box  tops  and  labels.    We  will  s5ll  be  collec5ng  them  year-‐round.    We  won't  do  another  contest  this  school  year  so  be  mindful  of  saving  them  up  for  a  contest,  because,  unfortunately,  they  do  have  an  expira5on  date  on  them.    Another  note  is  to  be  sure  to  collect  the  box  top  "official  coupon"  or  "bonus  box  tops"  for  it  to  count  and  for  the  labels,  we  need  the  UPC  barcode  part  of  the  label  (not  just  the  "labels  for  educa5on"  logo).

Thank  you  for  your  support  and  making  the  contest  a  huge  success!!    For  any  ques5ons  or  comments  about  Box  Tops/labels,  please  contact  Katy  Loo  at  [email protected].    Thank  you.
