KF15 A steel Farrier’s knife with seven tools marked CROWNSHAW, LIVERPOOL, SHEFFIELD MADE. Crownshaw was a retailer. The knife is engraved “A. W. Davie” and was, no doubt, a knife that pleased that gentleman in the late 19th century. $325

On July 13, 1886, The London Gazette contained a notice regarding Thomas Trapp’s withdrawal from the George Arthur Trapp firm of Wine and Spirit Merchants. The business would continue under Henry Vale, John William, and George Arthur Trapp. George Trapp died on June 6, 1910.

The June 1910 issue of The Commercial Vehicle reported: "Oildag" and "Gredag" are trade names adopted by the International Acheson Graphite Company, of Niagara Falls, N. Y., to designate the special lubricants which it markets for use on motor vehicles. Oildag is a mixture of a specially prepared graphite and mineral oil. Gredag is a lubricant of the same type and is intended to be used in place of ordinary greases. It is especially adapted to the lubrication of motor vehicle sliding gear change speed mechanism.
