Brother Knights: We are in peak season and it seems to me that all of us are working hard to make it a successful season. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your time, talent, and treasure. You have been supportive of every event the Council and Assembly have conducted. I believe we all do this for the same rea-son: for the good feeling we get when we know that our efforts will help those a lot less fortunate than us. We have just completed our annual Tootsie Roll Drive and it was as successful as in recent past years. We collected $15,784.55 which was almost the same as we have collected in each of the last two years. It involved over one hundred volun-teers standing at various venues around Marco. This money will go to Special Olympics and schools with departments working with children with learning disa-bilities. Our spaghetti dinner held Tuesday 2/21 was a huge success. The final numbers are not in at the time of this writing but we served approximately 550 people. The kitchen crew headed by Bill Christ and Ed Eastwood all deserve a great big THANK YOU. I want to thank the Columbiettes also because we need and de-pend on them to do our events. This month will prove to be very busy also. We have fish frys, a spaghetti dinner, bingos, a golf outing, and the Senior Prom. Please continue to support your Council and Assembly at as many of these events as possible. As I have said before, this is a team effort and requires help in many ways. Thought of the Day: Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift from God. That is why we call it the present. Vivat Jesus. Dan Moll, Grand Knight
