Marist’s Tenth Annual Arts Festival: A Celebration of the Artsby Amanda Di Pasquale ’13

On April 19th, 2013, Marist High School’s Tenth Annual Arts Festival took place. The theme, On the Threshold of a Dream, was one that anyone could connect with. The theme was also executed in various ways by the young artists at Marist. “The Arts Festival is a huge event that shows our school’s art work and talent. I’ve always enjoyed it. Particularly because of what it showcases ... Sometimes, people even surprise you with their talent,” comments senior, Alexis Wilson.

Upon entering the gymnasium, large black display boards could be seen standing, filled with Senior students’ art. Along the closed bleachers were the works of the Junior students and Graphic Design students’ as well. As you moved from artist to artist’s work you

happened upon art specifically created around the theme of the show; each piece so different from the rest.
