This year we celebrate 50 years since Alfred Hitchcock unleashed The Birds onto cinema screens; the film that made the career of actress Tippi Hedren and her feather-dappled green suit. The movie may be vintage but the feathers have remained, and right now they are visible all over the fashion and design worlds — from the catwalk to stationery to surrealistic lampshades.
