  • Event & Market Overview

Kazakhstan has proven recoverable oil reserves of 4 8 billion tons and its influence on resolving

KIOGE once again proved an exciting and effective event, bringing together all major companies and executives in the oil and gas industry both in Kazakhstan and globally.

Kazakhstan has proven recoverable oil reserves of 4.8 billion tons and its influence on resolving global energy issues continues to strengthen. This year, despite price turbulence, oil production in the country will increase. According to Mr. Kiinov, Deputy Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, “in this crisis year, we expect production to grow by 5 million tons to 75 million. And this is a good indicator!” However, the Deputy Minister did not gloss over problems in the industry: “Not everything has gone smoothly for us. Production has fallen in our old fields and because of the crisis, it has not been possible to implement the necessary technological measures”. Young fields provide an opportunity to increase production volumes in Kazakhstan, and the number of staff has not reduced despite the crisis.
