    PAGE 1 (FOUR PANELS)

    PAGE 1, Panel 1.

Wide Panel at the top of the page, taking up the upper fourth of the pages space. The shape of

ABBI FRYES eyes are seen in the shadows, with a single phrase over her face...

    CAPTION 1:

    Get away.

    PAGE 1, Panel 2.

This, and the rest of the panels on the first page, share the same shape; a wide panel that takes

up a fourth of the page. This, however, shows a blurry image of JUN IWASE, focusing

awkwardly on his green jacket and we only get a fleeting glimpse at the rest of his body, only

seeing his chin as he rushes through an alley in the middle of the day.

    PAGE 1, Panel 3.

This panel focuses on Abbis mouth, screaming out, as yet again, two words are imposed over

    the panel.

    CAPTION 2:

    GET AWAY.

    PAGE 1, Panel 4.

Its a close-up of the left half of DOMINO VINLANDs face in the foreground. Domino is a

punk kid, seventeen years old with bleach blond hair, a wiry frame and teeth like a shark. He

doesnt have much of a stature, but hes looking into the background, clearly running down the

alley, running away from Jun Iwase. Jun Iwase is far back into the background, running

    forward.

    JUN IWASE 1: (SHOUTING)

    Hold it!

    PAGE 2 (FIVE PANELS)

    PAGE 2, Panel 1.

A wide panel, taking up the top third of the page, Abbi sits up in a bed made of cardboard and

musty blankets, reaching out as she yells. Domino is in the background, looking back at the

sudden appearance of Abbi, stunned, with Jun in the foreground.

    ABBI FRYE 1:

    Away!

    PAGE 2, Panel 2.

A series of three square panels take up the middle third of the page. This first panel in that

    sequence shows Juns surprised look.

    PAGE 2, Panel 3.

Jun is in this panel, moving his face into a smile.

    JUN IWASE 1:

Thanks for the help! GET READY FOR-

    PAGE 2, Panel 4.

Domino yells in an extremely overexaggerated fashion, head point upward.

    DOMINO VINLAND 1: (SHOUTING)

    HENCHMEN!

    PAGE 2, Panel 5.

A wide panel, taking up the bottom third of the page, with the same size as Page 2, Panel 1.

Jun stands battle-ready, with a confused look on his face as two large figures loom over him...

    PAGE 3 (FIVE PANELS)

    PAGE 3, Panel 1.

The first panel is a long one, with the width of half the page and the length of roughly 2/3rds of

the page. In it, two gigantic, square-shaped cliched goons appear in front of Jun, each wearing

a suit and with idiotic sunglasses, though with an interested look on each of their faces. The

only real difference is in their hair styles; the one on the left is bald and the one on the right has

a buzz cut. Each of them flex, and combined, theyre a wall of mass that tower over Jun.

Behind Jun is Abbi, her head just barely seen before being cut off by the panel.

    GOON ONE 1:

Say, isnt that the girl the Orgs want?

    GOON TWO 1:

    Talk about easy money!

    PAGE 3, Panel 2.

The next two panels are altogether the size of Page 3, Panel 1. Each are roughly the same size,

square, and they take right 2/3rds of the page. This first panel is Jun and Abbi, Abbi slightly

behind Jun. Jun has a curious look on his face, as Abbi wears fear, beads of sweat going down

    her face.

    JUN IWASE 1:

    Orgs?

    PAGE 3, Panel 3.

The two goons converse in this panel, the bald one talking to the one with the buzz cut.

    GOON ONE 2:

I hear somethings up with her brain-

    PAGE 3, Panel 4.

A wide panel, taking up the bottom third of the page, but leaving room on its right side for asmall rectangular panel. Jun punches the bald goon in the face, spit and blood coming out of

    his mouth.

    SFX 1:

    him.

    JUN IWASE 2:

Thats the issue with hired meat these days. Too eager for the slaughter.

    PAGE 4 (FOUR PANELS)

    PAGE 4, Panel 1.

A wide panel takes the top third of the page, the bald goon dropping to the ground with some

    of his teeth missing.

    SFX 1:

    THUM!

    PAGE 4, Panel 2.

A wide panel takes the middle third of the page. Jun looks back to Abbi, putting on a polite

smile as Abbi looks dazed, amazed Jun managed to take that guy down.

JUN IWASE 1:You okay back there?

    ABBI FRYE 1:

    Uh, yeah.

    PAGE 4, Panel 3.

A set of two square panels finish off the bottom third of the page. In this first, Juns grin

widens, though a blurred fist is coming toward his face...

    JUN IWASE 2:

    Good to hear i-

    PAGE 4, Panel 4.

Jun has a grip onto the fist, his arm quivering as he stays in position, eyes intensifying, the

eyes focusing on something off-panel to the right.

    PAGE 5 (THREE PANELS)

    PAGE 5, Panel 1.

The first panel is a rectangular one, taking up the top half of the page. We see Jun locked into a

fight with the remain goon, the one with the buzz cut, as he holds back the ham-sized fist with

only one hand. We mostly see Jun from his back, though we do see his face, eyes meeting with

    the goons...

    GOON TWO 1:

    Ha, youre pretty strong, kid...

    PAGE 5, Panel 2.

Panel 2 and Panel 3 are a set of two square panels of equal size, side by side, taking up the rest

of the page. In this first panel, we see the goons hand reach into his coat pocket...

    PAGE 5, Panel 3.

The goon takes a butterfly knife out of his coat, with a similar shot as Panel 2.

    GOON TWO 2:

But lets see if you can dodge-

    PAGE 6 (FOUR PANELS)

    PAGE 6, Panel 1.

Panels 1 and 2 take up the top half of the page, each long horizontally-shaped rectangles. In

this first one we see Jun punch the second goon in the face, blood coming out of his mouth

    like the other one did.

    SFX 1:

    KRAK!

    PAGE 6, Panel 2.

The goon drops like a load of bricks onto the ground, his face bruised and swollen as this

    happens.

    SFX 2:

    DON!

    PAGE 6, Panel 3.

The next two panels are equally-sized square panels that take up the bottom half of the page

side by side. In this first panel, Abbi sighs, completely drained, facing to the right.

    ABBI FRYE 1:

Youve got to be kidding me...

    PAGE 6, Panel 4.

Jun raises his eyebrow, looking curiously as he stares directly forward, almost to the reader.

    JUN IWASE 1:

    Hm?

    PAGE 7 (SEVEN PANELS)

    PAGE 7, Panel 1.

The panel layout of this page is similar to the grid layout used in stuff like Watchmen, though

in this case the top row is merged into one long panel in the form of panel one, taking up the

top third of the page. The panels shot widens, showing an overhead view of the alley, the two

goons bodies collapsing onto Abbis home of cardboard and blankets as Jun and Abbi stand

over it, each on opposite sides of the panel, Abbi on the left side and Jun on the right. Abbi is

frusturated with Jun, while Jun just stands there with an awkward smile on his face, not sure

how to get out of this situation.

    ABBI FRYE 1:

Your fight completely destroyed my house!

    JUN IWASE 1:Oh, um, sorry?

    PAGE 7, Panel 2.

From here on out, the panels are all square and are grouped into threes, three for every third of

the page. In this panel, we focus on Abbis face, whos completely furious about what just

    happened.

    ABBI FRYE 2:

Sorry?! Sorry is all you have to say?!

    PAGE 7, Panel 3.

Jun looks more cornered as Abbi looks more and more angry, their expressions exaggerated as

Jun continues his embarrassed smile, sweating quite a bit, not sure how to handle this situation.

    JUN IWASE 2:

I swear, Ill make it up to you. Um, Im kind of with the police so maybe they can help you

    out.

    PAGE 7, Panel 4.

Abbi goes from angry to curious in a blink of the eye, raising an eyebrow curiously.

    ABBI FRYE 3:

The police? What do you do?

    PAGE 7, Panel 5.

Jun finally is relieved of some of the pressure Abbis putting on him, happy to answer her

    questions.

    JUN IWASE 3:

Im a member of KIAF, The Kinzoku Individualized Anti-Hacking Force.

    PAGE 7, Panel 6.

Abbi thinks for a moment, rubbing her chin thoughtfully.

    ABBI FRYE 4:

Never heard of it. Wouldnt it be KIAHF?

    PAGE 7, Panel 7.

Jun gives off a confused look.

    JUN IWASE 4:

Youve never heard of KIAF? All right, here...

    PAGE 8 (FOUR PANELS)

    PAGE 8, Panel 1.

This square panel and the vertical panel to the right of it take up around the top half of the page.

The square panel is wider than the vertical panel. This panel shows some sort of futuristic

device, circular in design, with Jun presenting it. A hologram emits from the top, showing off

Juns identification. Its got a photo of Jun, his name, some form of bar code and at the top

theres a virtual badge with text on it reading K.I.A.F, Certified Agent, Kinzoku Police

    Department.

    JUN IWASE 1: (OFF-PANEL)

KIAFs a branch of the police department who specialize in arresting big time criminals and

notable hackers that are hazardous to the citys digital infrastructure.

    PAGE 8, Panel 2.

The long, vertical panel next to Panel 1. Abbi stands there with a dumbfounded look on her

    face.

    ABBI FRYE 1:

Is cybercrime really so important to warrant an entire specialized department?

    PAGE 8, Panel 3.

A series of two rectangular panels take up the bottom half of the page, the right, being a bitwider than the left one (meaning this panel). Jun stares at Abbi in disbelief, pressing something

on his circular gadget. Abbi is on the left, Jun is on the right.

    JUN IWASE 2:

Youre not from around here, are you?

    PAGE 8, Panel 4.

Jun moves to the right, putting his device in his pocket. Abbi moves forward, reaching for him

with an angry look on her face.

    JUN IWASE 3:

    Anyway, Im out of here.

    ABBI FRYE 2:

    Hey! What about my house!?

    PAGE 9 (FOUR PANELS)

    PAGE 9, Panel 1.

This page is made up of six equally-sized rectangular panels, two side by side taking up the

top, middle, and bottom thirds of the page. We see Jun from his back, as he puts his hand up,

    waving goodbye to Abbi.

    JUN IWASE 1:

I geotagged this point, the police should be here to give you your ham sandwich or whatever

the hell youre entitled to. Trust me, you wont be getting much.

    PAGE 9, Panel 2

    Abbi looks down, sadly.

    ABBI FRYE 1:

Oh, well there goes my home...

    PAGE 9, Panel 3.

We see Jun, the back of his head faced to us like in Panel 1, but hes not waving this time.

    PAGE 9, Panel 4.

Jun looks back, his face now toward us, a guilty expression on his face, but a slightly irritated

    one too.

    JUN IWASE 2:

    Damn it.

    PAGE 10 (FOUR PANELS)

    PAGE 10, Panel 1.

A slim, horizontal panel is across the top of the page, showing an expositional shot of Juns

    triple-decker apartment.

    PAGE 10, Panel 2.

Panels 2-4 are a series of horizontal panels of Jun and Abbi walking up the streets. Theyre

divided into panels to achieve a panning affect when the reader looks at it. The stairs go up

from left to right, getting high and high as Jun and Abbi climb them. Abbi is in this panel,

    walking up the stairs...

    JUN IWASE 1: (OFF-PANEL)

Listen, Im only doing this because I have a spare apartment I happen to be paying rent for, okay?

    ABBI FRYE 1:

Is that a normal thing people do?

    PAGE 10, Panel 3.

This is entirely empty stairs, without anyone on them going up.

JUN IWASE 2: (OFF-PANEL)Not really, but its too complicated to talk about it here... thats off-topic, just know this is a

    temporary set-up.

    ABBI FRY 2: (OFF-PANEL)

    Yeah, I get it already.

    PAGE 10, Panel 4.

Jun is at the top of the stairwell, holding a doorknob that, next page, hell use.

JUN IWASE 3:Good, now without further ado, my humble home.

    PAGE 11 (THREE PANELS)

    PAGE 11, Panel 1.

This is a rectangular panel taking the top half of the page. Its shows Juns rather dirty home.

His computer and desk is covered in soda cans, an ashtray and wires. His coffee table is

covered in similar things while his couch is covered in snack packages and chip bags. On the

wall there are a pair of Japanese swords. Jun and Abbi are seen from the side of this panel, Jun

with a normally happy face and Abbi with a look of disgust. On the opposite side of the panel,

    theres a door.

    JUN IWASE 1:

Feel free to make yourself comfy, your home is past that door over there, if you want to go

    check it out.

    PAGE 11, Panel 2.

Two wide panels take up the bottom of the page. This one shows off Abbis face, still sickened

    by Juns messiness.

    ABBI FRYE 1:

    PAGE 12 (FOUR PANELS)

    PAGE 12, Panel 1.

The whole left third of the page is taken up by this long, horizontally-oriented panel. The panel

shows Abbi looking up at the katana and wakizashi on display, Abbi staring at them with a

    mesmerized look on her face.

    ABBI FRYE 1:

Where did you get these? Are they real?

    PAGE 12, Panel 2.

Panels 2, 3, and 4 are a series of square panels, each of the same size that take up the right two-

thirds of the page. In this first panel Juns face is focused upon.

    JUN IWASE 1:

A friend gave them to me and yes.

    PAGE 12, Panel 3.

Abbi still has a star-struck, mesmerized look on her face.

    ABBI FRYE 2:

    Can I have them?

    PAGE 12, Panel 4.

Jun looks completely dumbstruck at this question.

    JUN IWASE 2:

    No! Of course not!

    PAGE 13, Panel 1.

Two square panels take up the top fourth of the page. Abbi with an overexaggerated

expression, her eyes blob-like and her tears large and fake.

    ABBI FRYE 1:

    P-Pretty Please?

    PAGE 13, Panel 2.

Jun groans, looking more tired than ever.

    JUN IWASE 1:

Listen, I dont have time for this, Ive got to figure out my targets next move. He has to havesome sort of goal hes working toward...

    PAGE 13, Panel 3.

A wide, vertical panel, focusing closer onto Abbis eyes, moving in closer with words over it...

first panel we focus in on Abbi, covered in sweat.

    ABBI FRYE 1:

    I must have made contact...

    PAGE 14, Panel 2.

Jun has a mix of confusion and fear on his face.

    JUN IWASE 1:

    Huh?

    PAGE 14, Panel 3.

Abbis composure is better now, as she speaks with urgency, her face completely serious.

    ABBI FRYE 2:

I have sort of a special gift, something that certain people want from me.

    PAGE 14, Panel 4.

    Abbi continues her serious discussion...

    ABBI FRYE 3:

My name is Abbi Frye, and I have the power to read minds... sort of.

    PAGE 14, Panel 5.

    Jun raises his eyebrow, quizzically.

    bring you there.

    PAGE 14, Panel 7.

Jun sits there on his couch, completely puzzled by what this girl said...

PAGE 14, Panel 8.... before finally just giving up on trying to rationalize this as he begins to stand up.

    JUN IWASE 3:

God damn it, get the swords then.

    PAGE 15 (THREE PANELS)

    PAGE 15, Panel 1.

We open with a wide expositional panel taking up the top third of the page. This time, it shows

some sort of techno-y club called the HELIX NEBULA, with plenty of lights outside of the

place. However, the look isnt really that of a techno atheistic; its combined with that of an 8-

    bit, retro game design.

    PAGE 15, Panel 2.

A rectangular, splash panel taking up most of the page with space on its right side for a small,

wide panel. We see the interior of the place, people dancing while large, LCD screens float

around, showing off various strange and pixillated images as the floors change color with the

music. The place feels large, with people not just on one floor; many people dance on smaller

    platforms floating around.

    PAGE 16, Panel 1.

This is the first in a series of three tall, horizontal panels that take up half of the page. We see

Domino Vinland sit at a bar as the chaos remains in the background. There isnt anyone near

    him at the bar.

    PAGE 16, Panel 2.

A strong-looking, tattooed barkeep speaks to him. Hes not like the henchmen in the comical

amount of muscle mass they had, but still, hes a ripped guy wearing nothing but a tank top.

    BARKEEP 1:

Anything I can help you with?

    PAGE 16, Panel 3.

Dominos hooded face looks upward, coming a bit into the light as his shark-like mouth opens

    up.

    DOMINO VINLAND 1:

Im looking for information, particularly, a certain piece of data. Does Spotlight ring any

    bells?

    PAGE 16, Panel 4.

A wide panel, taking up the left half of the bottom of the page. The once-friendly barkeep looks

more grim all of a suddn, looking at Domino as if a rat had suddenly entered his bar and started

    speaking to him.

    BARKEEP 2:

Im afraid it doesnt, and even if it does, you shouldnt bring up things like that here. Quite

frankly, Im sick of your type running around here, looking for information.

PAGE 16, Panel 5.Another one in the similar set of wide panels. This focuses on Dominos hand, as he reaches

    PAGE 17, Panel 2.

some hired muscle and firepower to get the job done. I sure as hell dont want to upset a

customer, especially one as rewarding as this one. All that matters to me is the money, nothing

    more, nothing less.

    PAGE 16, Panel 4.

The Barkeep shakily reaches under the bar, where we see his masculine hand grab a USB

    PAGE 21 (FIVE PANELS)

    PAGE 21, Panel 1.

The first panel isnt necessarily a panel, per se. Its an image of Abbi, head to toe, as she

speaks. It takes up the a large amount of the right portion of the page As she tells her story, a

panel accompanies each part of it, each piece of dialogue attached the accompanying panel

    within the script.

    PAGE 21, Panel 2.

Each of these panels are small, and are somewhat faded, the shapes vague, but clear enough to

convey an image. This panel is square, and more toward the top of the page. In this image we

see Abbi, begging to a person for help.

ABBI FRYE 1:I woke up six months ago without any personal memories but one; that I was Abbi Frye. I

went from house to house, living with anyone who would take someone like me... penniless

    and without any memory.

    PAGE 21, Panel 3.

This panel is at the same height of Abbis head, a wide panel only showing her eyes similar to

the ones at the beginning of the story.

ABBI FRYE 2:Soon, I discovered I had a vast amount of knowledge I couldnt remember learning and had

some sort of telepathy. I showed my abilities to my roommate and she sold me out.

    PAGE 21, Panel 4.

This panel is square, at around the same height as Abbis waist. Its square, showing Abbi

    running toward the reader.
