Manufacturing & Distribution Series

Sales orderThis session is the first of five manufacturing vignettes in a full order to cash scenario. The sales order session takes the user from a manufacturing customer quote to the sales order through pricing, allocation and reservation and eventually to pick, pack, ship and invoice. AX2012 new functionality is featured throughout the presentation.

PurchasingThis session is the second of five and extends the previous sales demand side to a full procurement process. Production planning, sales and forecasting drive the purchasing steps through workflow approvals, release and eventually quality assurance and receipt with invoicing. The demo shows updated planning of purchased materials are then available for sales, distribution and manufacturing consumption.

ManufacturingThis session is the third of five and follows the discrete manufacturing execution process. Production orders will be created, scheduled, started, material consumed and order completed. In the process we will view inquiries, lot/serial control material, and outsource to vendors. All done with the new AX 2012 resource scheduling.

Planning and SchedulingThis session is the fourth of five sessions and demonstrates the power within the planning and scheduling engines within AX 2012. Starting with forecasts, planning methods, and other demand we will plan materials, schedule orders review ‘what-if’s.’ The demonstration will also review fences and parameters within the planning system.

Manufacturing Execution System (MES)This is the fifth and final session for the Distribution and Manufacturing series. In this session shop floor control system for AX 2012 will be demonstrated. We will cover employee timecards, job and route scheduling, bundling of operations, project and manufacturing execution. In addition, timecard approvals, and posting to production orders will be covered.
