The six steps of victim identification processes are as follows :

- -Initial Contact- -Pre-interview assessment- -Create interview conditions- -Conduct interview- -Consider other materials- -Final decision

2-Challenges

-Modus operandi: similarities and links between smugglers and traffickers

-Lack of knowledge and skill: frontline officials often do not recognize trafficking crime when they see it.

-Lack of victim cooperation

-Lack of awareness of victims as to their own status as victims.

-High level of trauma

-Intimidation

-Distrust of law enforcement officials
