Cambodian Country Flag
Cambodia's flag is a representation of the countries symbols.
The red and blue colored bands represent Cambodia's
traditional colors, and the white temple (outlined in black)
represents Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is the best-preserved, most
famous Cambodian temple. Built in the 12th century, it still
stands today.
General Geography

Eastern Asia. The capital of
Cambodia is Phnom Penh,
located in the bottom third of
the country. The land is
mostly flat, with mountainous
land in the far right corner.

Economy
• Cambodia is operated on a Market Economy, yet the Economy is still greatly improving.
• Market Economy is an economy that relies mainly on the market to drive the economy and determine prices
• The GDP per Capita is $2,300. It compares 185th to about 196 countries in the world.
Imports and exports
• Imported: petroleum products, gold, construction materials, machinery, motor vehicles, and pharmaceutical products.
• Exported: Clothing, timber, rubber, rice, fish, and footwear.
Government• Cambodia's government is a multiparty democracy under a
constitutional monarchy
• An elected monarch guided by a constitution
• Current Leader: Prime Minister Hun Sen
• Gained Independence from France on November 9th, 1953

Currency • The current main currency is U.S. dollars because their
original currency is unstable

Climate• The climate is decided by the
monsoon annual cycle. Monsoons are heavy rain seasons created by air pressure changes of Asia.
• Cambodia's location near the equator affects the climate, as it is hot year-round there.
• The forests, grasslands, and drylands are true to Cambodia's climate type.

The major religion in Cambodia is Buddhism
This is where they believe in the god Buddha
