KINGDOM NEWS And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10: 24, 25 NIV

KINGDOM CHALLENGE
Back in the
By the time you read this we will have had our three town hall meetings with our churches. Thank you for attending. Thank you for your input. Thank you for you prayerful sup-port of Basin Baptist Network. Please pray for the A-Team as we put together what we have heard from you. After a time of evaluation we can better decide how to move on and how to discern God”s will for the work of Basin Baptist Network. Pray as we seek the kind of leader we need. Remember that A-team members are only the leaders of the various teams. For the work to be effective, we desperately need participation in each area by brothers and sisters God will call out from our churches. There has never been a greater mission, church development and Christian growth chal-lenge than Is ours now! Please seek the Father’s will about your place in this opportunity. Counting on your prayerful support and the leadership of the Holy Spirit, Bro. Wayne

2019 DINNER
FUNDRAISER March 26 at 6:30 pm

Midland Baptist CRISIS Center Hello everyone. I pray that you had a wonderful season celebrating the birth of the Savior and welcoming in the new year with your family and friends. God’s graciousness to my family has been so marvelous and evi-dent in many ways. I’d like to challenge you at the beginning of this year to serve and serve well. Serve in your home. Serve in your church. Serve in your city. Serve with no strings attached. Serve by yourself. Serve with your children or grandchildren. Serve with friends. Why? Shall we serve for the sake of serving? No, but serve because in God’s sight, serving is one of the greatest things we can do. Jesus himself said, “Whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” Mark 10:43-45. Why do we serve? Because in Jesus’ view of himself, He came to serve and we want to follow His example. It would have been right for Him, as the creator an sustainer of the universe, to go from city to city demanding worship from all people. Instead, He went from place to place healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, giving sight to the blind, raising the dead, feeding the hungry, forgiving sin, befriending the friendless, and teaching and preaching about His kingdom. His ultimate act of service was giving His life to bear the Father’s wrath that we deserved. He served us perfectly. The Midland Baptist Crisis Center is a place, likely not far from where you live, where you can serve many people like Jesus did. You can serve their needs and have amazing opportunities to tell them about the Savior, the perfect servant, Jesus. When you're ready, give me a call and we can discuss ways for you to get plugged in to serve. For His glory, Russell Cowan, MBCC Director
