Focuses on general corporate and commercial work including assisting and

advising multinational companies on various legal issues affecting their

operations in India such as regulatory work, due diligence, transfer of

technology. He also dabbles with litigation strategy and arbitration and has

represented some of the largest corporations before courts and arbitrations

both domestic and international.

RAJESH SIVASWAMY

Focuses primarily on Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity, Divestitures and

Sales of businesses, Joint Ventures and Strategic Alliances, with particular

emphasis on cross-border transactions. Rajesh advises a broad spectrum of

clients, working primarily with institutions, private equity funds and Multi-

National companies. He also acts for a number of Indian companies,

particularly in the context of cross-border transactions. Rajesh also advises the

Government of India in his capacity as a legal advisor to the Make in India

initiative.

SMITA PALIWAL

Primary fields of practice include regulatory approvals, joint ventures,

acquisitions, company law, labour and employment law, exchange control,

general commercial transactions and corporate litigation. She also leads the

firm’s division on prevention of sexual harassment (POSH). She also leads

workshops and client training in sexual harassment prevention.

MIRZA ASLAM BEG

Counsel to clients on issues involving shareholders disputes, creditors disputes,

challenges, constitutional challenges in tender matters. He also acts for a

number of Indian companies, particularly in the context of arbitrations and has

conducted the same under the auspices of ICC and SIAC.

AURELIA MENEZES

Focuses primarily on corporate laws, commercial, statutory, compliance and

regulatory issues. She has considerable experience in dealing with complex

corporate restructuring and reorganizations. She has advised in various

mergers and acquisitions and has been regularly assisting venture capital firms

in private equity transactions. Aurelia advises a diverse range of clients,

including MNCs, financial institutions, NBFCs, start-ups etc.

profound experience, he has experienced a multitude of regional and cross-

RAJU MISRA

Primary field includes contentious and non- contentious matters throughout his

long in-house career with some of the largest corporates in India which helps

him see the big picture on transactions. Also focused on Real estate, litigation,

strategic alliances, with emphasis on achieving business goals through carefully

plotted strategies. He also has a first hand experience in dealing with matters

ranging from shipping to mining and telecom besides a keen understanding of

the Indian regulatory regime across several sectors. Acted for a several large

SIDDARTHA KARNANI

Focuses primarily on banking & finance, restructuring & insolvency, dispute

resolution, real estate matters as well as general corporate advisory related

work. Siddartha advises a broad spectrum of clients, working primarily with

Ashish heads the Agrochemicals & Insecticides Practice of the Firm. His core

Sanjay, being a strategic legal professional, has 20 years of rich experience in

the Life Sciences & Health Industry. He primarily focuses on scientific, medical

and criminal issues. He has provided his expertise in performing rigorous due

diligence and drafting strong legal contracts for pharmaceuticals and medical
