• We are warned against moral and doctrinal compromise– Come out and be separate, 2 Cor. 6:14-7:1–No other gospel, Gal. 1:6-10–Have no fellowship with the darkness of

sin – expose it! Eph. 5:8-11–Do not go beyond doctrine of Christ and

do not receive those who do, 2 Jno. 9-11

• Stands by instead of rebuking and resisting sin, 1 Kgs. 11:7-8 (5); 1 Sam. 3:13

• Truth will not continue to flourish in such an environment, Gal. 2:4-5

• Causes indecisive faithlessness, 1 Kgs. 18:21 (Josh. 24:15)

• The heart is turned away from God, 1 Kgs. 11:2, 9 (Deut. 6:5)

• The militant spirit of the gospel is replaced by a (so-called) positive approach toward sin and error–Must not quarrel, 2 Tim. 2:24-26–Must engage the enemy! 1 Tim. 6:12;

Eph. 6:17; 2 Cor. 10:3-5; Jude 3; Jer. 6:14
