In the summer we celebrated our best ever Year Six test results that were above the national average for the first time in many years. The demand for places in our school also meant that we welcomed three reception classes this year and it has been a pleasure to watch our new children settle so well and make such a good start to their time at King Offa. We have also seen many improvements to the school facilities and resources. Every class now has a brand new interactive TV and as I write this our new Key Stage Two library is being installed. The most exciting things from the children’s point of view are the improvements to the playgrounds at school. The pirate ship has been a big hit as has the Astroturf in the Foundation Stage playground. At the end of this term we will be sad to say goodbye to Miss Skues who is moving to a school in Eastbourne. We look forward to welcoming Mrs Hoggarth who will be taking over Swallows class. We are looking forward to another great year for the school and all the children. I would like to thank all the staff for their commitment and hard work to King Offa and wish them a very happy and well deserved Christmas break. Thank you also to all the parents, carers and volunteers who support the school so well and help make it such a great place to be. Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
