Architectural Roofing All Roof penetrations Roof penetrations for HVAC, plumbing and other shall be through an independent sleeve or opening. This is to separate the roofing from the ducting or pipe so that either can be replaced or repaired without impacting the function of the other. The roofing is to be sealed to the sleeve. The space between the sleeve should be minimal, but also needs to have some cover to prevent leakage down through the gap.

Civil Conveyance Forcemains Inspection 'tees' To make inspection possible, forcemains are required to have an inspection “Tee” spaced not greater than 2,000 feet intervals. The need is to allow sonic and camera inspection of the forcemain condition. The pressure Tee should have a riser of 24 inches and an insert constructed such that the flow line is maintained at the crown of the forcemain. The Tee is to be housed in a vault structure for access.
