Next to the EVO C18, the orthogonal Kinetex F5 and Biphenyl will drive enhancement of reversed phase methods with their versatile array of interaction mechanisms. Varying degrees of electrostatic, aromatic, reversed phase, steric, and hydrogen bonding between the F5 and Biphenyl mean that these two stationary phases are both excellent alternatives to a C18. Additionally the F5 is known for its ability to separate isomeric species, while the pi electron cloud created by the dual ring of the Biphenyl phase acts like a weak negative charge and aids basic compound retention.
