PASTOR'S MESSAGEThe Development Class finished with a party at Sonny's Museum and Rock Shop. Table tipping was very active as Gina's table that Elliott gave a new life moved around the room and was close to levitating. Beautiful messages came through for those present. We then enjoyed a tasty potluck and conversation. A love fest of empowering thoughts and was a big hit. Each person sat in the chair. Then the class stood behind the chair, one by one, and spoke from the heart. A perfect conclusion to this class cycle which acknowledged the hard work and growth each student made.

2018 promises to be an exciting year filled with changes, opportunities and community outreach. The newsletter reflects the modifications to the schedule. I will prepare a flyer describing a weekend retreat that will take place May 4-6, featuring Reverends Jean and Richard Toward from Ontario. Reverend Jean is an 83 year old Spiritualist minister and teacher who shares her knowledge and wisdom using impressive methods. There will be a meet and greet followed by a meditation Friday evening. Saturday's activities will run from 9-4, with a break for potluck lunch. Reverend Jean and Richard will serve at the Sunday Church Service, with retreat time in the afternoon. Cost is $100. They will be available for readings with Reverend Jean $25 (appr. half hour) and healing with Richard $40 (an hour) on Monday. The flyer will have more details.

I am proud that people who come to the church find it to be welcoming, inclusive and many express it is so much different than what they have experienced elsewhere. I want to thank each person who has helped create this wonderful energy!

Special Events! The Objects of Spiritualism• To teach the truths and principles

expressed in the Declaration of Principles and in the Definitions of "Spiritualism," "A Spiritualist", "A Medium" and "A Spiritualist Healer" as adopted by the National Spiritualist Association of Churches of the United States of America;

• To teach and proclaim the Science, Philosophy and Religion of Modern Spiritualism;

• To encourage lectures on all subjects pertaining to the spiritual and secular welfare of humanity;

• To protest against every attempt to compel humanity to worship God in any particular or prescribed manner;

• To advocate and promote spiritual healing, and to protect and encourage Spiritualist teachers and mediums in all laudable efforts in giving evidence of proof to humanity of a continued intercourse and relationship between the living and the so-called dead;

• To encourage every person in holding present beliefs always open to restatement as growing thought and investigation reveal understanding of new truths thereby, leaving every individual free to follow the dictates of reason and conscience in spiritual as in secular affairs.
