Geography: People Live in Place • Students explore the places they live in and belong to. They
develop an understanding of what makes a place special and how this may differ for different people. Students learn about the importance of looking after places. Students explore how the location of places can be represented.

Term 1: CAPA: Music• Students sing, play and move to music, demonstrating an
awareness of their own capability in using voice and other sound sources. They organise sounds into simple structures and begin representing creative ideas symbolically. Students listen to, and identify, simple features of music and make judgements about musical effectiveness and preference.

• Summative Assessment: e.g. L3 vocabulary assessment, hearing and recording sounds and end of unit assessment tasks

SPORT DAY FridayStudents will require a water bottle, hat, sport shoes, sunscreen (home). Need to wear sports uniform to school.

Health Care Plans / Allergies
• Any health care plan or change of health care plan needs to be forwarded to the office ASAP. The information in your child’s health care plan will be relayed to relevant staff.
Attendance• Absent notes are required on the first day back
following an absence and within 7 days.
• Applications for extended leave are required prior to leave being taken for travel during school time

Morning Routines
• 8.30am: Students drop off their bags, and then go straight to the playground.
• 9.00am Mondays: Whole school assembly. Parents welcome to attend.
School Fees• School package notes have been sent home.
• Included in the school package is the cost of the Life Education program and Henny Penny hatchings.
• Kindergarten are supplied with books and pencils.
• Please help out the school and have the school package fee paid promptly.
• Additional costs will be incurred for any school based excursions.
