FINNISH WOOD RESEARCH OY mission

Kimmo Järvinen

Finnish Wood Research Oy is a non-profit research company jointly owned by the aforementioned Finnish companies. FWR mission is to act as a platform for industry wide planning and implementation of research activities which enable the companies to strengthen their core competencies and business operations.

The core competence of FWR is in recognising the needs of national and EU-level wood working industry research needs and efficiently carrying out respective research activities. Networking with companies, research institutions and authority bodies within the industry is an essential part of operation and ensures that the research programs are successfully implemented. Knowledge of financing channels and the ability to create substantially effective research and development projects the efficiency of operation.
