VIII. Board Member's Update a. President (Sue Kraus, Anne Terlesky) – No additional report.

b. President-Elect (Lisa Crawford, Andrea Lukin) – i. Ice cream social – Parents are asking if there could be a “meet the teacher”

section in the gym to lessen how crazy it is. Another suggestion was to have the classrooms open for parents to drop supplies off. This will likely not work as teachers are still working on classrooms. School starts Monday August 25 as of the most recent calendar.

ii. PTA slate – Vice-presidents are trying to fill the slate. They hope to bring in new faces with kids in the younger grades and want to make it more welcoming. Some positions will be eliminated including sponsorship and programs. Parliamentarian is needed and should be someone willing to be familiar with the PTA by-laws. Still need someone in the vice-president spot. Andrea wants to encourage stronger attendance at PTA meetings.
