The Lands
Kilglass is accessed off a secondary road, enjoying road frontage onto a
minor road and near to the R148. From the entrance there is an internal
road through to the residence & farmyard. The grass lands (c.31 acres)
provide a number of divisions all in old pasture. They have the benefit of
good boundary hedges & ditches to most of the holding along with well
fenced internal divisions.
The forestry was planted in 1991 and is a mixture of Norwegian Spruce,
Alder, Larch & Ash. The second thinning has just taken place with the
final thinning due to take place in 4/5 years.
History
The property is located within the townland of Kilglass and is just north
of the village of Carbury. Over the years the farm has traditionally been
a drystock farm with it primarily used.
Location
The property is positioned within an excellent band of agricultural
holdings and has the towns of Johnstownbridge, Edenderry & Kilcock all
within close range along with the university town of Maynooth only 20
