July 9th ’2017 to Aug 15th ’17: National

Championship of Power lifting

Priyanka Hasija participated in National

Championship of Power lifting organised

by Special Olympic Bharat in Kolhapur,

Maharashtra. She won 2 Gold Medals.

July 24th ‘2017: Unified Football Games

2 of our children Aditya and Manjeet

participated in Unified Football Games at

Scottish High School, Gurgaon, organised

by Special Olympic Bharat.

Aug 3rd ‘2017: Young Athlete Program

Our 10 children from 3 to 7 years of age

group with parents participated in Young

Athlete Program at Scottish High

International School, Gurugram, organised by

Special Olympic Bharat, Haryana. Parents

learnt about the sports activities which are

beneficial for building their children’s physical

growth.

Events, Outings & Celebrations

July16th 2017: Annual Art competition-VSA

7of our children(Manjeet, Amit sharma, Soni

Kumari, Priyanka Hasija, Vikas Raghav, kunal and

Aditya Kumar) participated in 23rd Annual Art

Competition in March 2017, organised by Very

Special Art India. Results were declared recently.

Kunal Chauhan and Priyanka Hasija won the 2nd

prize.

July16th 2017: Day breaker Half Marathon

3 of our children (Manjeet, Kunal and Aditya)

participated in Day breaker Half Marathon

(2km walkathon) organised by National

Trust. The event was held in Gurgaon with

the theme “Fitness & Fun”

August 4th 2017: Raksha Bandhan Celebration

Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in the centre

and the children tied the Raksha sutra on each

other’s wrist.

August 18th 2017: Dance competition by Very Special

Art:

Our 10 children participated in Dance

competition organised by “Very Special Art” at

India International Centre-Auditorium, New Delhi.

The theme was ‘Main Kuch Banoongi’. 18 teams

participated and our children got the 1st Prize.

August 11th 2017: Janamashtmi and Independence Day

Celebration

Our children celebrated Janamashtmi and

Independence Day. Flag was hoisted by the children

in the presence of the President of Khushboo, Mr.

Rakesh Jinsi. Cultural performance was given by the

children –Drama: Raja & Rank, Dance: “Ye hosla

kaise rahe” and Patriotic song: “Har karam aapna

karenge”.

September 5th 2017: Teacher’s Day

Celebration

Mrs.Sonali Savakoor and her sister Mrs.

Asha Awasthi visited the center and met

with all the staff members. All the staff

members went for a movie at Inox

Dreamz Mall and enjoyed lunch on

teacher’s day.

September 7th 2017: ENT & Head Neck

Surgeon

Dr. Arpit Sharma (ENT and Head

Neck Surgeon) has joined Khushboo.

His visiting days will be Monday and

Thursday of every week.

Visitors

July 14th 2017: Visit by RBS

17 employees from RBS visited our centre.

They participated in some of the activities with

our students. These activities included: Dance,

Music, Drawing and Tree plantation.

Refreshment was arranged by them for our

children.

September 28th 2017: Dussehra Celebration

We celebrated Dusshera in our Center by

performing a traditional pooja and

alighting the effigy of Ravana.

September 20th & 21st 2017: Visit to Amity Medical College, Manesar & Dr.Shroff Charity Eye Hospital,

Delhi

A visit was made to Amity Medical College, Manesar and Dr. Shroff Charity Eye Hospital, Delhi by

Mr. Rakesh Jinsi and Mr. Vijay Pal.

The purpose was to consult them for setting up an Audiometry lab at Khushboo.

August 31st 2017: Visit by XL Catlin

37 employees from XL Catlin visited our

centre. They participated in several of the

activities with our kids. These activities

included: Painting of Diya’s, Bead

Necklace making, Paper bag making and

Bulletin Board Decoration. They also

donated INR. 91000/- for equipments and

teaching aids.

September 8th 2017: Fidelity Visit

A Group from Fidelity visited our

center. They are sponsoring 35

children and have also donated funds

for the Audiometry lab.

September 18th 2017: Visit by Mr.Kuchhal & his

Mother

Mr. Kuchhal with his mother visited our centre to

see the working of our project.

He is in planning to help Khushboo for the future

projects.

Meetings and Trainings

September 21st 2017: Surprise visit by

GiveIndia

Ms. Sonchita from GiveIndia visited our

centre to review the programmes. She

also contacted some parents over the

phone to take a feedback.

September 25th 2017: Visit by Inner Wheel

Club

A group from Inner Wheel Club visited

our centre and donated Rs.1 lakh for

musical instruments, mattresses, UPS

and furniture for children.

August 16th 2017: EC Meeting:

EC Meeting was held to review the programs.
