Travel in record timeWhen you describe the TGV, the most important word is FAST! From its earliest service in September 1981, the French train à grande vitesse (TGV) has set the standard for European high-speed rail operations.

With Paris as its hub, you can connect with all major French cities and much of Europe. The fact that 450 trains crisscross the network every and all day, ensures a wide choice of departure times, and makes this an attractive alternative to air travel.

The TGV high speed trains are owned and operated by the “Grandes Lignes” unit of SNCF, the French national railway. KhayaMedia is offering best prices and services to you.

This is how you can travel with the TGV from one host city to the next:

BordeauxFor many the very name Bordeaux conjures up images of large châteaux and splendid wines. And indeed, the City is called the “Wine Capital of the world”. But it is also a sports-city, famous for its football and rugby-teams. Its stadium is located between a man-made lake and the Garonne River.

ToulouseNicknamed ‘La Ville Rose’ (the Pink City) on account of the terracotta bricks used in many of its buildings, Toulouse is France’s fourth-largest urban area. Situated on an island in the heart of the city its stadium was built for the 1938 FIFA World Cup and was soon labelled ‘mini Wembley’, because of its resemblance to the iconic London venue.

Lille MétropoleApproximately 200 km north of Paris, close to the Belgium border, you will find the fifth-largest city in France - Lille. It is known throughout France for its large student population, its appealing city centre and is famed for its bars and bistros, referred to locally as ‘estaminets’.

Lens AggloLens is a charming petite provincial town, just 28 kilometres from Lille. MarseilleThe biggest port city of the country has turned a new leaf and is now a showcase of France. New promenades, parks and squares can be seen alongside the old port (Le Vieux Port) now all ‘jazzed’-up. Designer boutiques surround the opera house and many new restaurants, bars and shops indulge visitors near Cours Julien in the La Plaine-Quarter - just two Metro-stations from the stadium.

NiceNice, capital of the French Riviera, is well known for its pebbly shores, the beautiful view on the Promenade des Anglais, its famous waterfront, and is an ethnically diverse port city. Culturally and architecturally enriched over time, today the city has become a truly cosmopolitan tourist destination with vibrant markets and diverse restaurants.

Saint-ÉtienneSaint-Étienne (‘small sister of Lyon’) is without any doubt one of the leading football cities in France. The local football team, AS Saint-Étienne, has won more Ligue 1 titles (10!) than any other club. Its stadium is the only major one in France in a central urban location, just a few kilometres from the heart of the city.

LyonIn France, where the whole country is well known for its culinary highlights, Lyon is the gastronomic capital. With 500 000 inhabitants it is the third-largest city in France and the second richest after Paris. Its new stadium is located in the eastern suburb of Décines-Charpieu.
