Aims

• To meet the staff.• To find out some information about

what happens in Key Stage 4 and why we offer the curriculum.• To support your child in making

appropriate option choices in Key Stage 4.

Foundation Learning

• It is designed to ensure Entry Level and level 1 learners receive the same entitlement as all other learners.

• Our commitment to curriculum development has ensured our KS4 curriculum is in a good position to deliver a wide range of qualifications and learning experiences both in school and through links with colleges and the community.

TRANSITION PLANNING

• Pupils first meet their LLDD advisor at their Transition Plan Review at the end of year 9.

• The advisor then works closely with pupils and the school throughout Key Stage 4 to ensure a successful transition to life after the Priory.

• A priority for the year 9 and 10 annual reviews will be to prepare pupils for Post 16 transition.

• By the year 11 Annual Review decisions will need to be made about the actions needed to ensure a smooth transition to post 16 provision.
