Key Artists that have influenced us

The above artists have all influenced us in the stages of our research and construction. I choose to look at these artists as we felt, we could use some ideas from their music videos and ancillary products. Most of them have done music videos which are quite sensitive. They all have had awards for various music videos that theyve done, therefore it would be ideal to look at these type of artists especially as they are from the singer-songwriter genre. Our inspirational music video was Emeli Sandes My Kind of Love which gave us the idea of or overall narrative to be based on illness. When it came to ancillary products, I also looked at all the artists digipak to see what ideas I can incorporate onto urs. Even though Beyonc is not part of the singer-songwriter genre we still chose to look at her. This is because our first draft of our music video was heavily influenced on her music video called XO. We did some elements of her music video such as the rides and fireworks being projected in the theatre, but overall the audience found it hard to understand the narrative. We ended up changing the whole narrative.
