Applied Ballistics was founded in 2009 by Bryan Litz. Choose a Kestrel Elite, HST Pro, 5500 or other 5 Series meter with optional Kestrel LiNK for wireless connectivity to iOS or Android devices with Bluetooth® Low Energy, as well as Windows and Mac computers. The Elite model with LiNK is also compatible with Kestrel’s integration partners, including multiple range finders, allowing for wireless transfer of range data to the Kestrel for instant calculation of an elevation hold, which is displayed on the Kestrel and handed back to the rangefinder for display in the viewfinder.

Kestrel LiNK iOS and Android apps allow LiNK enabled Kestrel 5 Series Meters and DROPs to connect wirelessly with mobile devices to view real-time measurements, receive on-screen alerts, download data and perform firmware updates. The Kestrel LiNK Ballistics app, designed specifically for the Elite Kestrel meter, provides full gun management and access to the Applied Ballistics library of G1/G7 curves and custom drag models.

We used the Blue Ocean Megaphone during deployments to both desert and maritime theatres. It was used very successfully

during callouts and took every type of weather mother nature could muster. It survived riding in a backpack in the back of a truck getting bounced around with no ill effect. The batteries were easy to charge and change out and eliminated the need to carry large amounts of extra batteries.
