KERNEL UPGRADES (111 TO 353)

CLIENT: 000,001, 066

Note: Download the related files in service.sap.com/swdc in real time systems.

Step 1:Check the db space >10% in Tcode – db02

(If the db space is <10% then use the tapes to increase the same in real time with

the help of OS administrators)

Step 2: Go to path cd /oracle/DUMP/IMPL/Addon’s /353kernel /

And check the Kernal files:

SAPEXE_353_.SARSAPEXEDB_353_.SAR

Step 3: Open the terminal in the above path and give ownership permissions at root level.

Permissions:chmod –R 775 file name (tab)

Ownership:chown -R sidadm:sapsys filename(tab)

su - w13adm

cd /oracle/DUMP/IMPL/Addon’s /353kernel /(tab)

ll

Step 4: Uncar the files at admin level:

SAPCAR -xvf SAPEXE_353_.SAR (739 Files extracted)

SAPCAR -xvf SAPEXEDB_353_.SAR (18 Files extracted)

Step 5: Stop all the services at admin level:

stopsap r3

saposcol -k

Step 6: Copy the extracted files from the path: oracle/DUMP/IMPL/Addon’s/353kernel

and paste into path: usr/sap/SID/sys/exe/run.

Delete or Cut the below files from run folder .

1.SAPEXE.353.SAR

2.SAPEXEDB.353.SAR

Step 7: Run the reports

./saproot.sh SID

Check the updated kernel version by using command disp+work
