Teacher In Charge : Ms. Rukhsana Haque

Today we were briefed about the competition by Ms. Rukhsana Haque. Many vendors nowadays use plastic polymer bags which are just thrown out after use. They remain on earth as waste for millions of years, so we are spreading awareness for using paper bags over plastic polymer bags. We thought it was time to make people around us aware and to reduce pollution on earth.

•To work for our desired goal, we decided that we all can get all the materials for paper bag making such as sheets of news papers, glue, rope etc. from the market and our home.

“ A pound of care won’t pay an ounce of debt by timely mending, save much spending.”

We want to make a huge difference and touch the lives of people. It was a very inspiring and creative way to balance philanthrophy and fun.

First we collected all the required materials for paper bag making.

We learned the procedure to make paper bags.

We convinced the other students of our school to learn making paper bags.

We motivated the students of our school and explained that how paper bags help to save the environment.

We taught our school’s students to make paper bag. This was done under the guidance of teacher.

Students showed great interest in making paper bags.

Some students also showed some creativity during the session.

We made 1500 paper bags.

These bags were donated to the vendors and shopkeepers near our school and they were requested to avoid using plastic bags.

1500 paper bags in all were made.

The other students of our school got a chance to learn to make paper bags.

It has shown us the new way to reduce the pollution on earth.

This small steps made us more confident, responsible and co-operative.

While plastic is an environment hazard, people will continue to use plastic bags unless and alternative is available. Despite several drives vendors continue to use the same. There is a need to change the mind set of people. If paper bag is available with the vendor for a small sum, people will be forced to take it.
